It’s very easy to get down on yourself during awakening, especially as it relates to those who are engaged in emotional release of conditioning. But even as you are, in the words of Peter Gabriel, “digging in the dirt” it does not mean you have to wallow in it.
It is entirely possible to learn how to take out the trash without messing yourself up in the process. This is not refusing to acknowledge what is there, it’s that the pranic force does not make it necessary to ever have to open that dirty trash bag. Toss it, exit the burning building, get out for fucks sake.

There. I said it. Indelicate though it may be, the truth here is that there is no honor in being a martyr to your past and you can grow up, step up, and exit the past and simply be done. You can wallow or you can keep on ascending, your pick.
The presence of prana is the game changer, you see. Prior to this, what most people have is their rational minds and physical senses. If you allow prana to help you break through the veil of that awareness into the subconscious to find an expanding awareness of both intuition and feeling (not to be confused with emotion). It becomes possible to simply be done once a suppressed emotion has finally been recognized and processed so it can be gone forever (if need be).
There is a big difference between authentic cleansing and simply holding on to your trash while acting like you really are getting rid of it just as your hands clutch onto it for dear life. Or just shoving it down again.

This is why in many old traditions the teachers tell their students to smile as they meditate. I was explaining to my daughter yesterday that there are ways of triggering confidence, happiness, and even joy by learning how to fool your conditioned mind out of feeling negatively. It’s a radical idea: fake it until you make it

Buddha said that all change happens right now. You just begin. So change your thoughts. Now. Yes, you might return to sadness or loathing, or a dozen negative states, but you begin by bringing your mind to a new place and hold it there as long as you can. Then, over days and weeks, this becomes a habit. You remain in the new state longer and longer. You hold that feeling and eventually action becomes character, and character, in the words of Gautama Buddha, becomes destiny. Some miss that the only plan is what you intend and help manifest.

There will inevitably come a time when what’s left of your inner junk gets driven to the surface. It can no longer survive in the new you. Like bubbles rising from the depths, they are forced upwards and like bubbles surfacing, spread into the ether as though they were never there. They were nothing more than patterns you loved to hate that imprisoned you in a negative self-talk. Kick them to the curb. If it means repenting and changing your ways now, do so. Fake it until you make it. Time itself will see to it that change comes. And it will.
Is this an inauthentic way to heal or grow? I ask you; is it fake to allow yourself to be as happy as you can muster? This happiness will show you where you still need work. It will. So let it be, and the process will take care of itself and you. Joy will create the contrast you need to see the shadow. There are indeed millions of ways to address awakening that are already authentic and beneficial and can work very well. They have for me.
In Indonesia they teach meditation with a smile. In time, you will find more of the smile to be genuine. Their way might just be quicker and involve less misery. You are constantly reminded of the power of the positive in each moment.
It’s hard enough facing shadow. There is always a reason to be happy and thankful for just being alive here at this pivotal time.

So yes, there will be a time when you know the smile may not be real. But you aren’t doing this to be fake, you are doing this to change, to steer your boat into a new direction.

The Sea Of Sorrow-A Lesson In Sadness

About six years ago I was going through a highly accelerated process in awakening. I had asked for change and I got it. I went through this ego death, a rearranging of the self that moves ego to the back of the bus. During this time I began to encounter a vast stretch of my spiritual ocean I referred to as the “Sea of Sorrow.” Intuitively, I thought my job was to process this sorrow. So I did. Like a man in a boat, I tried to cry out all of the sorrow I felt rising up around me. This went on for over several months. I cried every day, trying to tap deeply into this vast sea.
I realized that this sea that I was feeling could not possibly be mine alone. There just wasn’t that much sadness in my past. I realized once I  stepped back that this belonged to all of us, this vast sea of sorrow. When you awaken, the consciousness you awaken to is that of collective consciousness and how everything is connected. I realized there was no way to process all of it. So I stopped. It had become habitual by then. I weaned myself off over a matter of a few days and steered my own boat out of that sea. I left. I didn’t return. I left and found myself on much calmer waters. My mind changed, clearing. That great sadness became a memory. And there will come a time when fewer years are added to this sea by virtue of fewer people who choose to shed their tears. They choose joy instead of sorrow. And in time, that sea will itself sublime into the ether. It will become a distant memory and anyone who dares return will only find a dry valley where once there were tears. It will have lost all of its magnetic charge on us because it no longer means anything to us.

Do you see how it can be for you?
You choose.

So it’s possible to choose bliss and when you feel this bliss constantly like I do, that bliss alone heals. It heals all the hard places in you. If you think you can heal this neurosis by wrestling with it, by fixing or fiddling with it, you are mistaken. This neurosis is circular and is madness. It feeds on itself and seeks others to raise the same banner as it sadly does, with vigor and passion. There is no rationalizing with it. So? You quit it. You walk away. You become a quitter.
You quickly begin to forget what it was like to feel like shit and remember instead how perfect bliss is. And one by one you are healed of one conditioned neurosis after another.

Tantra, the core tantra, is about bliss and how it literally can heal you. When you surrender completely and deeply enough, that bliss will penetrate to your cellular DNA  and work out the blocks that are there. This is what kundalini does all on its own as it is. The bliss, as you let it in, heals as deep as you dare to go. This, the soul of tantra, heals your shame, your guilt, and brings you to a place where you just have no more fucks to give.
There. I said it again.
You just slip deep into bliss and as you do, it’s as though cell by cell, the magnetic quality of bliss rewires your brain, nervous system, and body. You find yourself wondering just what you were so concerned about moments earlier. This is the beginning of repatterning your brain so you no longer “go there.”
This is the power of tantra, the orgasmic bliss that is the healer. You can feel it with or without sex. And not everyone is ready to harness it for sex. It can be enough just to heal the psyche. It isn’t about sex, you see. It is acknowledging what you are, your incredible capacity to hold this riotously sensual feeling inside until you explode over and over.
Like Osiris, prana helps you to get put back together a better way.
No, you do not need to roll around in your own garbage just to get it out. You can be happy. You can take each moment microsecond by microsecond, building a powerful wave that is joyous instead of sad.

It’s up to you. I ask, which would you prefer?

UPDATE: this morning I experienced an example of something mentioned in this post. I have noticed that over the last few years when I awaken in the morning I experience this odd jolt of transition that I never experienced before having experienced awakening (kundalini). I have noted several people so far who have mentioned this same experience who themselves have gone through awakening (all on their own-no prompting from me) so I am getting the sense it’s fairly normal once you reach a certain stage in the experience.
This is a feeling of dread almost. It’s not the greatest feeling. This morning, though, as I rose from dream I had a smile on my face, thinking about what I had written here, and was keen to see how it might work. I am happy to report that it worked very well indeed. Give it a try.

This Thanksgiving I spent time making new friends and working on developing a Youtube series with my friend and gifted intuitive Alison on her island home off the coast of California.

One thing is for certain; you never know what will happen when Ali is in the mix.  I mean this in the best of ways. It all winds up feeling so perfect.  So real.  And so it was near the end of my visit that some friends came over for dinner and as the dinner seemed to be winding down, one of our guests made mention about how she didn’t know so much about the spiritual, not that she was afraid, she just felt like she didn’t have a third eye.  One of the guests mentioned how she had done a series of past life regressions with Ali and how wonderfully healing it had been.  Before you knew it, we were in the living room wrapping this lady up in blankets as Ali guided her down into the depths for an encounter with a past self. Easy, but it’s easy when you have someone who has the gifts Ali has to help guide and nudge when its necessary.

One thing that has become clear to me and that came up when we were watching a video that same weekend of an interview with a woman who has done countless regressions was that doing regression therapy is not that hard.  Our memories are all there, but resting deeper down inside of us, a place where we most often do not go so we rarely, if ever, encounter them on a conscious level.  With a little guided imagery and some deep relaxation, those memories begin to bubble up to the surface of awareness.

And so it was with our guest who lay quiet and still, breathing deeply and following Ali’s lead.  After only a few minutes, an image formed of a woman in a doorway.  This woman was the woman in a previous lifetime, and she stood continually at a door, neither here or there.  It turned out that she had a self who was stuck between lifetimes.  Ali guided the woman to begin to approach the woman, and as she did, she felt like she could not move.  She couldn’t move because both aspects of who she was as the woman in the door and as herself now we’re BOTH stuck, or seemed to be. Seems she only needed to decide not to be stuck in order to not be. Then, as she continued to try to approach the woman, she saw a spot begin to appear, which was a portal off to one side which had begun to open as she tried to help this woman, to find out why she was there in this room in a house.  Over a period of minutes the woman in the doorway moved into the tunnel and was taken into the light.  Immediately the woman felt great relief and began to see the funerary arrangements, the meal and the home of the woman she had been.  She sat up saying she felt 100 lbs lighter!

This encounter was one that helps a person to become “unstuck” both as the person they were as well as the person they are today in their current life since some aspects of that feeling of being stuck often haunts them in their present life.  Being able to do this work frees a person up and helps them to move on.  This process is called soul retrieval.  Some years ago Ali helped me with an aspect of this in one of our many talks together.  It turned out that there was a part of me that had become stuck when I was about ten years old.  The process was much the same in the after effects of feeling suddenly clearer and more integrated.  It was experiences like this along with the removal of emotional blocks through the cleansing effect of strong pranic flow (kundalini) that has had such a significant impact on my life as an agent of transformation.

The experience also showed me that I had a natural healing ability that I have always sought to sideline or put on hold because I felt that I needed to be as healed as possible before working with other people in a healing modality.  With my hands on our guest’s head, I felt energy flowing through me in such an easy way.  I identified that this was the same sort of energy that we use as healers for helping to bring about the changes that are healing moments.  My role was simply as support, but it was curious to me to see how as the woman began to describe that her past self had gone through the tunnel that the flow of energy through my hands had begun to wane moments before she described what was taking place as she looked on at the event unfolding before her.  It was one indicator to me that had a curious way of coming up over the course of the visit.  During a reading with a gifted healer that Ali gifted me with during my stay by a man in Arizona, this gift came up as part of the core of his suggestions to me for forging a new direction in my spiritual and professional life.  All of this, neatly woven into earlier events that had already taken place.
Soul retrieval is claiming what is yours, a part of you that may have seemed inaccessible before the process began. By returning you to yourself, it is like a short circuit in your cosmic wiring is fixed so that an easier and more complete flow takes place. When we retrieve those lost parts, we allow them also to heal whatever it was that had them feeling stuck. But since they are us, we attain something that they become. Past life regression let’s the self help unstick it’s other selves…and sometimes when we encounter angels in other lives, it is sometimes an aspect of ourselves moving outside the confines of time and space to help bring change.
Kundalini, or strong prana has had this effect for those who awaken. If you are going through this, you know how it stirs, helps you to feel those stuck places and as if by magic, heal them. There are many pathways or means of doing this type of integration work that leaves us feeling more whole. I think it can also aid you even when awakening is stirring you. Sometimes we can get stuck in awakening, I have seen it happen often enough, and past life work is most often where the “source” of those stuck places we feel in us now that often make so little sense (because they aren’t from this lifetime).

As I have been writing this post, I noticed that Ali is embracing her talent for helping people with past life regression work more and more (funny how that works!). She has done hundreds of these journies over the years, and her method came to her naturally in her intuitive work as a way to resolve patterns that were snagging her clients over the years. But recently she has begun to do more of this type of work, and it’s prompting me to go ahead and publish this now so that if you want to explore this aspect of yourself, you can get in early.

To learn more, contact Ali at avaloncmaiden@yahoo.com or speak with her at The Spa At Catalina at 310-510-9255 and let her know I sent you.
Merry soulful journies!

In the first years of a spontaneous awakening without a practice or even understanding of what kundalini is, there is first bewilderment, then a settling into the rhythms and peculiarities of this new life.  You begin perhaps by learning that this has a name, and once you do, you probably gobble up as much information about it as you can.  The process itself, though, shows you that a lot of change is taking place in a very short span of time.  The chakras are pierced, opening, and then much more susceptible to the stirring of pranic force now moving more forcefully in the body.  Old things bubble up and lift away one by one, the energy is impacting your bodily systems “amping” up adrenaline, cortisol, but also dopamine, sexual hormones of testosterone and estrogen, as well as endorphins in the mix.  In a period of mere months it is not unusual to feel as though you have gone through what might feel as only achievable through years of traditional talk therapy sessions.  Things heat up, the process continues, and the light body releases what seems a vast backlog of stored emotional material that makes up the karmic load for the person.  The soul enters in, samadhi is experienced, incredible states of bliss are known, and the self feels as though it is being reformed, healed, and brought to a new understanding of its place in the order, the design—now revealed—of the cosmos.  All of this is rich, rewarding, and wonderful amidst the backdrop of such great energetic intensity.

Over time, the self most often begins its struggles with the trappings of ego.  We all seem to come to it in our own way when we are ready (or not entirely ready as the came may be). This is often marked by what is termed the Dark Night of the Soul, more a period of time than a singular event which is where the “rubber meets the road” in coming to terms with how the self was ordered prior to awakening. This is due to an arrangement of the psyche where ego was once front and center, and then is slowly – perhaps painfully – pushed into the background by the sheer force and immensity that is now facing it. Ego is simply being outpaced by cosmic consciousness, and the cosmic has to move now.  As necessary as it is, most call this a death because of how traumatic it is for some people (at least while it is happening).  This is, though, a very necessary stage to reach in order to catch the “new gear” that our awakening selves require, which is loosening the ties to the part of the linear self in favor of the nonlinear holistic self. As an aside, I will say that this is only “necessary” when our ego is already so centrally focused in our awareness—not everyone will need this “death” whose ego is already not so front and center, but it will happen naturally if it is needed. This ties directly into how the brain itself carries a mirror of or for the cosmic within it that allows it to process cosmic consciousness and its sweeping vastness (which is the right brain, which I write about a lot in other parts of this blog).  When this happens successfully, cosmic consciousness is no longer  overwhelming, or a fearsome struggle. It is a shift (not a death). It just becomes the new normal. Things become easier over time, and this new gear comes into fuller use.  The mind quiets, there is a greater sense of peace and understanding that this new condition, the awakened self, involves.  I wont say that all is perfect peace, but things are much easier, especially for those who awakened spontaneously. But with it comes, perhaps, a place in experience that is what I think of as the “now what” state.

Many people experience this state at one time or another.  With the incredible bliss comes crashes, and the yo-yo effect I mentioned in my previous post related to comping with kundalini.  Some call it “rubber-banding” or “contractions” of the self into its old familiar pattern. You have been to the summit, you have had incredible insights, the world has been turned on its head, and events now take on a different form in their creation.  You know that your own consciousness is absolutely creating so much of your life experience as evidenced by synchronicity, and other events very similarly aligned by way of their significance to what you might think of as your destiny are popping up all over the place. But in seeing behind or through the veil that is so often described as being a part of awakening (the veil that separates the different parts of the self— conscious, subconscious, as well as superconscious) you perhaps see into the very simple source code that runs all of this, the very engine of creation….the twin energies that are now alive in you that have been described in many esoteric traditions as the “Shakti and Shiva” union, the “I am one with the father and mother” described by Jesus in the so-called Gnostic texts of early Christianity. All of these traditions are simply pointing to the union of opposites within consciousness that make cosmic consciousness possible.  But in knowing this, its almost as though there is this “what now?” moment at one point or another.  You can reach a point where all of the old ways of being no longer hold their interest.  Your body, too, might have been so impacted by the intensity of the physiology of kundalini that it creates a physiological form of doldrums within you, too.

If you have a karmic draw to certain people, those engage you and keep you in the intensity, but when you begin questioning even these powerful draws, this too can fall away and you enter into this very quiet place that is increasingly so new that it feels like a land of no more turbulent storms, no more drama, only you and the Tao, the persistent Presence of the All emanating throughout creation.  You no longer have as your god the dramas of the old life.  The battle standard is put away, and the world becomes cause-less.  It is a good place to be, but it can feel like a loss sometimes. As Westerners, we are extremely unfamiliar with working with life in this way.  This is very similar to what the Zen Buddhists describe as “zero” which means neither for or against anything, a place of no agenda, a point many observe as being where you can more clearly glimpse the truth of your own life and how the world is (to the degree that we each are capable). I think that being able to reach this place is actually important for the still-deeper blocks that remain as the deeper blocks that even our own intellect or compassion is outpaced or eluded by.

This can manifest or come in as such a stillness that it puts you off, making you feel at a loss as to what to do.  When you know how things work in the world instead of thinking that you do by taking a side or an agenda, and you lose your investment in ego, the need to go on another crusade just drops away.  We are, I think, so accustomed to making life into this dramatic play that we are in (it makes us feel engaged and fully in on the game) that when it changes, it can feel like a kind of loss of sorts.  Maybe less a loss as a feeling of having won the world, you have also given it up in the way you had lived in it before. You actively lose so many things that you thought were important that had been driving you so hard and for so long, and this loss can leave you feeling like you are resting in a windless still-water world with no up or down, no “this” or “that.”

The part of you that corresponds with the super-ego, that I knew to be something I called the “watcher” (Osho uses the same term it turns out) is a higher order version of the earthbound ego, but without the restrictive qualities it places on us, helps to drive this feeling of detachment.  Its incredibly useful when learning to surrender and to let all of the old memes drop away. For some of us, detachment can be hard sometimes.  You see the drama in the world and this super-self ego says “There have been wars….there will be more wars….there will be drama, and still more dramas; they will come and go, and drama will unfold as it has done in the past….this is all a drama that repeats for those who need to work through their own junk….keep moving through it….just keep moving and be like a passerby.” And it is this state, that without bliss, can feel hollow or empty.  It can lead to depression, and it can feel as though everything you fought so long and hard for in your previous life has less and less meaning (because it is supposed to mean something, right?). The things that fulfilled you before no longer fulfill you now. This could be a crisis or it could be a remedy.

I can tell you that this is a big adjustment.  I can also say that when this took hold of me (or I took hold of it), I found that this happened after years of very intensive releases and the dropping of ego in the midst of a 24/7 awakening experience that had proceeded for five to seven years.  I had incredible insights daily, unbelievable synchronicities that would boggle the mind, as well as difficult challenges as I learned to drop more and more of my own karmic material. It felt like a very real victory to have been able to release so much material.  But it left me with a “blah” feeling as well. There was so much change and so fast!  Once I was able to reorient myself, I found that in my own experience, there was more material to work through, another layer lying deeper still in the substratum of my awareness that I could not see in the previous cycle of releases.  All of this happened when I was able to release the easiest material and had swept through all of the major chakra centers and through the five koshas, or layers, within each chakra (it is said that we have five, and my own experience has shown me that this corresponded to numerous clearings of the same chakra over and over but at different “states” of the energy).

What I found for myself was that the material that remained was much more fundamental and even primal in nature, the blocked energy that lay in the root for me that had to do with childhood nurture and my feeling safe and secure in the world in a material way.  The point I noticed was that the blocks that remained were the ones that had been the most activated and were the most fresh.  Since they were the most commonly activated, they also were he least understood or really “seen.” These were blocks that had been triggered during my very difficult divorce just a couple of years after awakening began. As a result, I observe, they were the blocks most difficult to let go of. These seemed to now lay in a substratum of my psyche that was the most irrational, most fundamental, and also the most difficult to get at.  Yes, I had had some very challenging times doing the work up until this time with blocks in the heart, throat, crown, and the solar plexus, sacral, and root. It all seemed like a mammoth effort that spanned seven years.  Now it seemed as though I reached some plateau and while I knew there was more to do (I could feel it pretty clearly in my energy body as tension, pain, or resistance), things had slowed down a good bit as I felt like I was literally chipping away at a stone now instead of these big sweeps of release. It was here that the “blahs” entered in.  I think that this is one stage where I could have gotten stuck really easily had I stopped paying so much attention to bringing in the forces of change in my body.

What I know is that this was not some end, but merely the beginning of another chapter.  I would meet friends who would be in the same place, a signal to me that life was a great mirror for me in telling me where I was.  As I sat helping a friend move through a guided meditation, I realized that the visualizations I was providing were just the ones that I needed to use in order to get deeper into my own rooted issues.

Desire is such a double-edged sword. It can drive us powerfully to discover and to find what had been a mystery only moments previously.  It can also serve to hold blocks in place, too, because desire that is not pure is being colored by our many blocks.  We wind up wanting things or being drawn through desire to our very own karmic material, which are the things that cause us trouble and are not good for us (even as we crave them).  It can feel like a trick to us that karma creates chemistry, but being double-edged, I observe that if used properly that it can also free us.  This is very much in keeping with the soul of what tantra is, the part that is about the lightening bolt of realization through using desire as the crazy wild energy that can move mountains (and no, I am not talking about using it for sex, I am talking about using it for supreme bliss).  It has to be used as honestly as possible, though. It can also burn the mountains down. Over time, I note, that desire itself transmutes as our own karma clears.  I suspect that it is an adjustment period, and desire itself is not the bad thing so many point to. For as much as the wise ones (you know…just about everyone who speaks out about spiritual matters) speaks out against desire, I do not align to those views at all. I think that we simply do not understand desire and how our karma takes it over.  While I speak as though its something being done to us, realize that all karma is based on a choice, a decision that we once made in the past, so it isn’t like we are helpless at all in the face of our own seeming karmic battles.  It isn’t that desire itself is bad, it is that desire is so pure a force from the divine that it flows through everything, even our own blocked material.  Animated in this way, old desires that we know aren’t good for us rise like phoenix’s from the ashes.  We get upset with ourselves for having fallen for what seemed like a merry-go-round (which of course it is).  Clean up the material that desire flows through and desire is free in a way that perhaps few (including his Holiness the Dalai Lama) have  yet to experience.

I know that this might seem like a u-turn on the path of having lost direction and passion for life, but I know in my heart that even the Prime Creator of the All lives in a sublime state of desire.  Its desire birthed all realities, all worlds, all possibilities.  Desire was what moved it to create in the way that it did.  Its release of us and our potential from its own dreaming was itself the orgasmic surprise just before a moment of sheer risk of losing it all, that by releasing it, it might just all float away like the children we birth who leave home and exit our lives. There is, I know, a vista ahead of us where, freed from our shame and guilt and glitches, is an experience that is beyond limits.  I know it sounds grandiose, but in truth I am talking about being bowled over by a cup of tea or a sunset, or dinner out with friends.  The simplest of moments looking out your window becomes a sheer miracle.

What I am saying is don’t turn away from desire, but examine it. If it seems as though it is causing you trouble, it is a sign that there is more material that needs clearing out.  I can’t tell you the end-point in this simply because it is new ground and we are all traveling together.  But its the next big thing, I think.

Recently I shared some information about the issue of energetic entities titled “That Parasite.” Since writing it there has been some interest in going into this further in regards to the how of releasing these from your field.

There is a panoply of entities that can be drawn to people for numerous reasons, but entity attachment all boils down to one very simple factor, which is a vulnerability that is in the form of an unhealed place in the self, a repressed trauma or resistance to something that now creates a recursive merry-go-round effect that is a karmic issue.

I write about this a lot since it snags the majority of people on the planet and holds up the process of embodiment-learning from and becoming more like ones higher self. But this article wont go into the many types of beings except that there are as many as there are wounds in people here on Gaia. Instead, I want to focus on the core issues that I hope will lead you to your own greater awareness so that you can call upon your own resources.

There is tremendous benefit in ridding yourself of these subtle energetic influences. I know because I did it. If I can, so can you.

First Things First

I will begin by saying that I really do not buy into rituals or tools or trappings of any kind for energy work. I prefer a direct approach because my own healing was achieved in this way. We are souls that exist through all time and dimension-tools are not required.

Having said this, belief is a funny thing. It serves as a channel that regiments and forms experience, and if you believe you need a tool, belief will make it hard to do otherwise (unless you examine your beliefs and change them). So if a tool gets you in the right space, use it. But you have had the power all along…

The Two Pillars

I do feel that all of this is incredibly simple and it’s based on intent and feeling. These are the two pillars of this work. You need to be clear about what you want(intent) and you need to break out of your rational mind set and enter the magical realm of the imagination and of feeling.  This is NOT emotion.  This is your capacity to become increasingly more sensitive to psychic energy…which is the energy of your consciousness.  If you are sensitive to your own energy and can feel it, you can feel others, including the presence of others, both etheric entities and the minds of others who enter your field just by thinking of you. So this is not just any feeling, which probably sounds terribly vague. I will explain this as I go along.

Seeing It Anew

First, realize that entity removal is not hard. It can be incredibly easy. I will explain what makes it hard as well as easy.

What makes it hard is simple -it is one of several things: fear of the entity (like how we might fear a dog or an unknown), uncertainty about our ability to make the change, a spiritual/emotional wound that’s troubling, and being unable to shift awareness out of a rational “doing” mindset. Having a sense of mystery only invites fear and fear brings uncertainty and that scatters your effectiveness. There is nothing to fear or to be anxious about. This only gives the entity more standing and power. This is not a physical “fight” but a spiritual one.

It does no good to think on how Hollywood has handled entities. All of this is way off the mark. I know that there are accounts of possession by entities and the stories make their way into horror stories, but they are horrific partly because of the people, that is—the priests, who make all of this more than what it needs to be. The posture or attitude of the healer will always have a defining effect. And I will point out that most entities are simply lower astral forms, fragments and cast-off’s from humans and other forms of consciousness. Some are just undeveloped and in the process of becoming. They are simple and most often attach to people based on just a couple of emotions (most often). But how you approach them either gives them energy or sends them on their way.

What makes all of this easy is when you allow yourself to stop fearing them and see them for what they are.  They do not belong, yes, but they have also attached to you because of an opening in your field, what in sanscrit is called a samscara, or soul wound.  Your soul wound affects the consistency of your energy field, or aura, and this is most certainly tied into the major energy system known as chakras.  You can make all of this easy or hard.  If you bring fear into it, then guess what; hard!  Or even thinking that this is going to be hard will actually create a situation that is a self fulfilling prophecy.  I’d like to explain the hard stuff a little more because I think people will need some guidance on this issue.

A Little History…

Years ago my sister complained of a ghost that had been involved in some poltergeist activity in the house where we lived. It was at first hard to believe until I began to encounter  it myself. It was something like a trouble maker it seemed to me and I wondered how to deal with it. I decided, along with my sister, that we would try to contact this ghost or presence to see if we could bring a change. We drew up a make-shift ouija board on a sheet of paper, made a pointer from the ring of a flashlight and got to work contacting this being.

We didn’t have to wait long. In he came, full of bluff and bravado. We found out that he had lived in the house in the earlier part of that century and had died from diptheria. He was unable to move on…or some part of him remained. This was the cause for the psychic disturbances happening in the house and the poltergeist activity.

We probed him about why he did what he did, and clearly, he got a kick out of it. As we talked to him and explained how he seemed stuck there in the house, we noticed a change taking place over the weeks that we were in contact. I asked him if he had ever tried connecting to his higher self, had he ever thought of life beyond the house he was in? And then a shift happened. It was rather sudden but it was noticeable.  It had to do with his becoming aware of “Light”and from that time forward, everything about our haunting fellow changed. He came in and out, and was less present as he had been. He stopped the really spooky stuff he had done and seemed to be changed. The change though was sudden, like on a dime. The thing is, this is how it is with everyone (like flesh and blood people).  This is not some kind of bullshit story from Hollywood where the entity makes the bed lift up with a glowing red light under it. No.  Its like going to the dentist and he takes out a tooth and has it done before you realize its already done.

And one small aside….when my sister and I did our contact using our home made board, we didn’t light candles.  We didn’t dim the lights.  We did everything out in the open, full daylight because HOW YOU FEEL has everything to do with the outcome.  Nothing ever got weird or scary because we never went there.  We were just with someone who got a kick out of scaring people probably because he was bored stiff and stuck like a tick without any guidance that he was stuck. You see, once you die, time changes.  Years can go by and you have no clue.  You are out of that space time flow, even though you are coincident and focused on that place you are stuck in. And this wasn’t the whole soul of the person, it was simply an aspect, a single lifetime or a part of that person. This is most often how “hauntings” actually are.

The poltergeist stuff stopped and there has never been any more activity since we had our chats. It is perhaps for this reason that I think that a lot of what we think as scary and mysterious is only this way because we are feeding that emotion into it. And the only thing I would do different now is I wouldn’t need to use a board for contact, I would simply talk to his soul. I have known for years that there is almost always another story. I think that this experience set me up to be able to approach things the way I have, and its been very succesful.
In awakening the issue of lower dimensional entities came up in my awakening and I am here to share what I have learned, stripped as bare as possible of opinion or guessing.

Understanding & The Myth Of Protection

The first thing is…….Don’t fear them. Instead, understand them. Know what motivates them if you want to heal and release them. Is it fear that they like to create? Is it anger? Is it sexual energy? Self loathing? Whatever it is, the entity feeds on you when your wound is activated. And a wound is most often a trauma or experience you never got over and suppressed it where it then festered and created a problem of emotional dysfunction of one kind or another. It is, though, buried, and takes a good deal of grace to tap into to learn more about. It takes honesty. You will often known what emotion they feed on because of your reaction.  Is it over the top?  You might want to look more closely at that!

The more you heal these wounds, the fewer hooks these entities have to grab you with.Healing makes your energy field “slick” so nothing can snag it or grab hold. This is why I explain that most efforts people make to shield or protect themselves is simply nonsense. It’s bullshit. Sorry, but it is. The concept of psychic protection is pretty useless when you consider we are all one, all connected, related, and live in and communicate through a vast network or field of energy that is the body of the Prime Creator, or all that is. Everything we do is in truth like an open source event where the information is open to all. Certainly the self can choose to hide or create a notion of privacy in the physical, but the ether is not made this way, you see. Its all in the open.

The way to protect yourself is to raise your vibration so that lower  entities can’t latch on in the first place. This requires hard work and soul searching. Know thyself. And now to know the beings…

So lets say you don’t know what the entity’s game plan is, its own personal zeitgeist. Can you identify how it makes you feel?  If you can do that, you can know more both about your wound and what the entity feeds on. You simply observe. Watch over time and garner a good series of observations. The trick that gets played is that of second guessing, “Was that me or an influence from an entity?” You will know through observation—do you feel like you lose control over an emotion easily? While not a test that is 100% accurate, it can point you in the right direction often.

I once had a spouse who had, and still has, an entity that is latched on to her that feeds on her anger. I could feel it when the entity came alive in her because there was a distinct heaviness that would fill the room that differed from her own usual vibrational signature. Her emotional outbursts were also much more prolonged when this entity came forward or was activated. When I mentioned my observations to my very sensitive daughter many years later (we talk about this stuff sometimes), her face lit up—she had felt the same thing. These are not our reactions to an action in a person, they are perceptions. Learn to tell the difference and trust your feelings.

Sometimes an entity will be attached to a given center or chakra in the body, but they will be attached to a center only because there is a block or wound there. By knowing or feeling them there, you can read up on what that center is all about and then consider that the block or wound is resistance to the perfect positive flow for that center. A heart block could be resistance to compassion, love, or self-love in some way. It could cause anger, frustration, sorrow, all depending on the nature of the original first event of resistance that created the wound or block in the first place.

Some entities, you might notice, will move around in the body (those most closely associated with the body types). In the early stages (first three years) of awakening some of you will feel them as though they are physically moving around inside your body (this is also part of seeing or sensing objects or movement in your peripheral vision that often looks like shadows). I know how that sounds, but it is much ado about nothing. But until you clear them, you may feel sensations like something moving. And if not moving, then other energetic effects. I would not describe these as real as if it was physical, but is more “like,” or “as though.” You will of course sound completely crazy to any “normal” person who has had no experience along these lines.

These sensations are an attempt by the brain to translate messages it gets that are from the pranic side of our experience. It is translated into something that makes sense to us at a sensory level (and so the range of effects can be broad potentially). Regardless of how the entities present themselves, they remain until you heal enough to remove them. You can also remove them and then heal faster. There are numerous other sensations possible, and if you use your feeling self, your inner senses, you can become more adept at feeling their movements or presence. The only advantage in doing this is to understand them and yourself by knowing or being more aware of what is happening and where to focus healing.

Some entities are not so much in the body as associated with it.
Realize that these beings do not orient themselves with respect to physical reality the way we do. Theirs is a world measured in intensities and feelings. There is no distances for them, only relationships. They ride streams of energy the way a radio broadcast rides on a radio wave. They move through time like we move through space. Some are connecting to you through multiple lifetime streams. Some are generational and are tied to sometbing nown as family karma. Often the women of a family will have one kind of entity while the males will have a different kind that are often similar to one another. They will often grow to attract people who have entities like the women in their families. These will not be related through direct energetic lines but will be related only because the samscaras in everyone in the family are so often related. The beings do not create the wound, you do. They are in many respects multidimensional and slip between worlds because they do not take bodies by incarnating. They instead take up residence in your own body or field. Their landing pads can be our bodies.
They are in the process of learning how they can be autonomous and able to draw sustaining energy from the universe…whether they know it or not. They will learn quicker if we offer them the opportunity through support to know their connection to Source. I am suggesting that you at least help them in being more aware…..to the degree that they are able.
I dont think you will be used to hearing his message given in this way, but the time for “fighting” demons is over. This type of process will always lead to trouble. This paternal or more male way of approaching it has run its course. We are now bringing in the power of the feminine aspects of the self, and this means that instead of pushing them out, we now pull hem in and help them transform. Instead of being pushed out, we pull them up and help them transform. Instead of pushing out, we coaxe them up and thus out. They are given the awareness that they are connected to Source…and without putting them on the defensive, we give them a gift. We dont struggle and fight, we bring peace and perspective. The old way is based on an incomplete understanding how things can be.
True protection is in not having an enemy to fight. The message that the Matrix movies struggled to say is that there IS no war except the one we are creating…but they fell short…so close…and when Neo overcame the Smiths by embracing them and their system in order to seed that part of ourselves with new awareness. Well…they were so close, but the fighting raged on because the writer was stuck in the old even as he was trying to embrace the new.

There is some suggestion that kundalini/awakening serves to create a sheath of protection around you. The Gnostic tradition goes into it.  This is old stuff. Its also not correct either. You are simply more aware now, or potentially so. I know numerous people who many years into awakening continue to harbor these presences. One is on her way to being a healer while carrying around two very troublesome entities. Its easy to think you have suddenly become a master of the universe when you awaken while not tending to removing these things. Doing so, though, accelerates your own development and helps to drop your reactivity to a host of issues. It can, in some cases, change the nature of events.

I once had a worker who had an entity not unlike one that I removed from the person I once thought was my soul twin. I swear, it was like some kind of convention. The whole time he was working for me the strangest most innexplicable things would go wrong to shut down production for weeks at a time. It was persistent and chronic and did not change until he quit working for me. While this was going on, I was having dreams that were showing me the subtle ways that these more advanced beings control events by hooking into our energy and the space/time flow of our lives. And why? To what end? To keep up an environment that is what they like or are familiar with. If you were born in strife and only knew strife, you too might seek strife unknowingly. You might create opportunities for it to occur only because its a pattern that is familiar to you. This is one way that they operate. Its really about what their comfort level is. Its upsetting to us because much larger parts of us are healed and intact, with only portions of ourselves having a weak spot, which is where these beings are attracted.

The Role Of The Healer

A healer can help if they themselves do not bear a similar wound as the person they are healing. Otherwise, they will be ineffective. It is also possible that they dont know how to remove them. It is  possible to attract a healer who has similar problems as you, in which case whatever needs healing probably wont be healed in the way you had hoped. It is also possible to attract the perfect healer for that moment.
The healer who worked with me explained that she saw definite patterns or correlations between what she was working on and the clients who came to her over the years. Bear in mind, her business was built on word of mouth, she does very little to actively seek out clients, they instead seek her.
When she was dealing with ghost phenomenon, she was having a lot of clients who were having “ghost” issues too. When she was able to resolve the issue she was having with this phenomenon, the people with ghost issues also went away. This happened over and over for her and helped her to see how the world becomes like a mirror to us.

What a healer does best is by communicating via the body-the light body to be exact. What they do is they read you, see where the problem is, and then they show through feeling how you can feel without the entity there. This is what my own healer called “surrogating.” She didnt have entity issues because she had done the work to get there, so she could supply the feeling telepathically of what a clearer field feels like. This is one of the central skills of a healer. It is also why I do not seek healers, I ask for the healer who is in my highest to come to me. I dont  push the river. But when I do it this way, miracles happen. I have had some of the best and most perfect healers appear in places that are almost unvelievable. Two out of three of these healers wound up either teaching or working within a few blocks from my home, for example. When I give up control the universe is free to create with me the most optimal and perfect type of events to help move me to the next step or level. By trusting in the wave in pranic force, you can have amazing things happen that feel miraculous only because they happen so fast and are so easy. You just have to be open to it and have no beliefs that compete with it that will muddle or throw the energy off. Anyone can do this. It is simply going from seeking/initiating to receiving/allowing.

She and I communicated energetically like everyone does all the time in day to day life (and are often unaware that they are doing so) but in this case she was focused very simply in her state of freedom when the healing work was being done. I began picking up on this because I was receptive to what she was doing. It is true that this kind of healing can happen while enjoying a cup of coffee, or talking on the phone. Most of the healing was done at a distance of thousands of miles.

All of this is being done at the level of energy, and energy is nonlinear, has little or no mass, and is not always bound by space/time. This means healing can be done very easily from a distance.

Receptivity is important on your side as the one being healed, just as the healer being neutral is important on their end. By neutral I mean that they are not getting an ego boost from this work. Receptive means your intuitive mind is active and you are feeling and not being stuck in your head with strings of rationalizing. You get empty and quiet, save for a sense of excited expectation. You get into body focus, the domain of the light body, which is where feeling resides. You are ready.

Then the healer swaps your perception….by their simply being them. You might not even know this is happening because we are all so used to being in our heads. You have to relax and let your guard down. This will not feel foreign in any way.You probably wont notice it. It is like a dance teacher who uses their hands to show you how to move your leg, or arm, for example. The move will be completely your own….just as how you feel will be completely your own as well.

Then, if you are ready to make a change, you will begin to be aware of the entity (s) in some way. This might happen right away, it could happen later, or in dreaming. Whatever avenue is best suited to your turn of mind, it will come.
Once you see them as they are, these beings cannot stay if your desire is for them to leave. The very act of awareness on your part begins the shift into healing and the vibratory rate changes (often piecemeal, but it changes nonetheless).

The healer lets you remove these by way of this new awareness they have given you. You are the healer. And this is the mark of a good healer; they bring you awareness and you do the rest. They are reminding you how you can feel inside by associating with you. And Their field of energy is used as a template, a reminder, for how you can be or feel. It is this change that is the initiation of healing. We pattern our children in the same way just by how we feel. Yes, actions count, but this persistent field of influence has a significant effect on people, you see.

This is why I can, for example, trigger the ability to see auras in another person, something that has happened a number of times in the past. It is merely a transmission of a pattern of energy that a person accepts. It is almost like a piece of code that then runs in them the same way it ran or worked in me. It is also how awakening energy is “transferred” from person to person. It is receptivity to a pattern, a line of code that gets taken on and allows for something new to be experienced. In many ways this is the fastest way to awaken, which is to be around the awakened. Just be aware of how you are attracting. If you attract based on something unhealed in you that is not healed in them, this can get magnified or reinforced during awakening. It isn’t always that a pattern is being transferred, but that there is something in common that gets magnified. I have found this happening to me in a soul connection, which was extremely difficult, and led to my having to part ways with this person because of how hard the hurt that was unresolved was. It pays to be observant of the deeper dynamics. Your feeling self, that clear voice, will tend to guide you very well if you don’t over think it.

Miraculous healings are the result of changing large sections of this “code” in ourselves. It can lead to immediate changes. Sometimes the healer does something to create a trigger point for the acceptance of the change….it could be belief, it could be ritual movements, crystals, music, beads, just about anything. Really, anything will work if faith is put into it. Faith or belief becomes the portal for change. But objects are not necessary; awareness of energy and seeking the highest is. Remember Jesus saying how it was the faith that had healed the man? That is the same thing taking place.

These beings do best when they keep their head low. They often fly under the radar. They cant rock the boat too much or they could find themselves homeless, so they often try to keep in the background..
I know people completely unaware that they harbor an entity. Not all are expressly negative, but they will always be holding a person back from greater growth in some way.
For some of you, you might feel like an entity most certainly does not fly under the radar, but this might well be because it is being triggered so frequently. Deep down, these beings don’t know how to be any different. Also, this level of activity can point to how active your own wound is.

When my healer began to talk with me over the phone, we were talking about the issue while I was driving in the car. It was a suggestion she made that I would become aware that an entity was there. Before she could finish her sentence, up popped a face in my third eye. I was surprised that it would work so fast. The face looking back at me didnt look human, and boy was it pissed! My inner sight showed five presences there with one main being resting near my heart center. As soon as I saw them, really saw them, they were gone. I describe them like pigeons being shooed out of an attic space. Gone! And they have never returned. The being that was mad was angry for a brief moment and was angry because it had been discovered, really seen.

Go Beyond Reason

The way forward is to claim your power. This is not an aggressive act or done out of anger, its simply what is yours. Part of this is learning how to navigate through the ether field. You have to get out of your head, out of your reasoning mind, because the universe only responds to feeling. The more you can feel, the better able you can understand this world within you and in the things of the world.

When I say feeling, I dont mean emotion. I mean your capacity to register sensory information internally (nonphysical inner sensory data) and learn how to distinguish between your feeling and that of the ether or universe. You use feeling to learn and discover what exists in this field (a limitless library of information).

This is the opposite of reason, you see. It is a state of receptivity, and feeling allows you to create a living form from the universe within you. This is how it is done. The more you bring in imagination, the more vivid the thing is that you have just picked up on and received.
You can do this in regards to your own healing and for learning more about these entities in order to release them.

The best way to do this is to explain to them that they have a direct connection to Source, that they dont need to be attached to you in this way, and that by letting go, they can begin to discover limitless energy. Hold space for the highest to happen, that they might grow interested in what this light is all about. Imagine their connecting to their higher self and see them merging into light.

When I removed the entity that had dogged “twin” for so long, this was what I explained to it before sending it on its way. I connected to its mind and explained what an amazing new world awaited it. It needed to find its own connection to Source so it could have all the energy that it needed. Then, I just felt this very sure and powerful force rise up through me that was like an opposing magnetism to this being. I increased the field strength until it moved far away.

This being did return, though, the following day, but because twins energy and mine were entangled, the entity could not get through. I simply repeated the same thing, entirely through feeling, that repelled the being for good.

If efforts at clearing an entity dont work, it is often because you have yet to find the point of contact (or your own wound). Find that and heal it and there is nothing for the entity to grab hold of. In the mean time it might play on your fears to keep the condition stable for it but unstable for you. You deal with this by not falling for whatever the emotion is, and by being ready to change the pattern.

Visualization work and affirmations can be helpful if those affirmations carry a desire or intent for real change. For as much as twin said she was tired of the entity, she also admitted that it was something of a guilty pleasure. By removing the entity, I gave her enough room to begin working on what that rather broken pleasure was about. But as a healer, I dont get to decide how the other heals, they do. They are the healer.

State of mind is central to all of this. Feeling and receptivity are foundational. Seeking the broken place and releasing it will knit you back together. Seeking the highest and asking for it while being open to the univere bringing it is huge. Get out of the rational mind and into the expansive cosmic mind. Use that to begin learning about the etheric. Meditate. Learn how to do breath work for relaxing and centering into cosmic mind. Ask. Then wait. Ask to be shown. Keep your eyes open.

There are many very good ways to release trauma, the source of these issues. I have a good trauma release exercise HERE . Chi Gong is helpful as are other forms of movement to free up emotional armoring. Body work such as deep tissue massage with an energy worker can do wonders. Reiki in some cases can help and cranio massage therapy can be deeply healing by teaching you to trust. Acupressure can be good if you have a well attunef attuned healer, and there are healers like my own who dont even need to touch to do their work.
Now, I realize that this may not e enough for some of you, so a simple exercise is in order. I want ou to et comfortable and allow yourself to get relaxed. I want ou to breathe through our nose and out through your mouth. These breaths need to be deep and long. You should pause two to three seconds at the top and bottom of each breath. You should do this for about five minutes. If you find it hard to remember what you were thinking about moments before, this is an excellent sign that ts working. You need to breathe until you feel relaxed and calm.

The next step is to begin to take an inventory of your body. You need to begin to feel for all of the places where you feel tightness or resistance. Dont second-guess yourself: if its in your big toe, take note of it. And dont worry if there are a lot, just take note of it. These places will be where you will need to begin by focusing your breath into those places. Doing this helps to send a stream of prana into the block. If you do this diligently, each day or three times a week, you will find success. Envision the tightness as being loose.

Then, by inducing shaking into the core of the body, and breathing deep, you can begin to peel away the layers of stored trauma bit by bit. This technique can be found on Youtube. There are dozens of these videos by numerous practitioners. It can be done lying on your back and letting the shaking do its work. As you move along, you will develop greater awareness of what is happening in your body. This will take time, but it will likely become one of the most important work you will do.
By using intent, and feeling, and the technique I just described, you can begin to be the master of your own being.

I hope this helps. I hope it can lead you to work that will give you the confidence necessary to take you to the next step, to the next level. Being able to enjoy your life is so crucial, and being able to clean things up some is one way to begin doing that.
Until next time, my bearers of light…

There is nothing that cannot be known. The way to know is through your own inner self. But I ask you, who is inquiring within to find the answers? The great stumbling block for so many is that they seek an outer authority for their answers when the answer can absoluteky be found much quicker and with far greater relevance when you use the equipment that you were supplied with. So why not? Most simply do not trust themselves.

Note: trust yourself
Trust and you will find the world opening up to you in ways you didn’t think was possible. Reach into that seeming void and as you do, you will feel the stuff of the universe will flow through you as your mind very quickly learns how to spin thread out of the ether. That thread will be the assemblage that you seek.
You must trust, you might need to believe it is possible first. Breathe deep and begin to let go, let your rational mind go blank. Then feel into it. What comes up? Images, words, thoughts?
It might take some time to work through the noise and static, but as you do, you will break through into states of pitched clarity, of certainties. Follow those, find ways to verify them and test them to see how close you are. Everyone is different in what part of the spectrum they are sensitive in, or b best focused with. Empty yourself of expectation and practice.
As you do, you will begin to trust in the only authority that is really ever relevant: yourself.
Sleep well, my bearers of light….

Cernunnos

I began hearing about this condition called Kundalini Syndrome a number of years ago, and its a curious thing.  I think there is a problem with it.  A biggie.  And its really all about perception and reaction.  I say this as someone who has had his butt kicked by kundalini but remained in the game and bid it to rise higher because I knew it was the source of my inner transformation: “Come and get me….yes I am scared to death of you, but I also know you are my salvation….I KNOW it….so come and get me, kundalini!”  And it would.  In spades.  I made it through ego death (a term I DO NOT like btw) and the release of thousands of things.  I made it and so can you.  I am still me.  I did not die.  I was turned into a better version of me.  Sure enough.  And if you are going through the harder stage of awakening, sit down and bear up with this reminder I have for you….

Most everyone who has endured the “fires” of kundalini, and while its been a challenge, it has made those going through it better people in the end.  The human race is absolutely neurotic and covered-over in sickness….did you think you were somehow immune to this?  Oh please, spare me.  EVERYONE here is here because…well…..neurosis.  And this is a great place to rid yourself of it.

Maybe that kind of honesty doesn’t sit well with you.  I am sorry.  What do you want?  Sugar-coated BS?  There is so much on the other side of all of this that is waiting for you and it is fabulous.  Cosmic.  Your mind, blooming.  Your creativity, exploding.  Insight, expansive.

The people who who write about kundalini syndrome as a thing treat it as though it is a dysfunction, as though Kundalini is something that is not a good thing.  On the El Collie site, for example, the description of kundalini syndrome is the same as the symptoms of kundalini itself.  So here we are with a condition that is natural, albeit rare, that is healing people by untangling years of psychotic behavior and the force that is driving it is seen as a bad thing.  A dysfunction.  An “emergency” rather than “emergence.”  If El Collie suffered through this for years, maybe it was because of her own inner resistance, not because kundalini was a bad thing in and of itself.  When I look at my life up to awakening, I have to say I was on the way to it.  It was a logical next step for me.  In fact, what triggered my awakening was partly due to my asking, “Is this all there is?”  I knew that it wasn’t.  Even as I was surprised by kundalini, I must say that it has been a constant answering to the larger ontological questions we all tend to ask ourselves and ask of the universe: is this all there is?  What is my purpose?  What is the meaning of life?  Without so much as needing a belief or religion, you can feel the vibrant force of this filling you and “telling” you of the purpose that all existence has beyond mere time and space.  If you know how to do it, it can take you to those places and show you how you have been here many times and that all of this birthing and dying, its part of a larger story….an infinite story….an amazing story that you can access in all-time.  But I am getting ahead of myself.

One thing that other sites mention is how using chakra clearing as a path to awakening is not advised.  It has been noted that it can lead to psychotic behavior.  I found this very interesting because someone I knew personally who used this method to awaken exhibited a whole range of psychosis (although I suspect these were already present for years previously).  So yes on chakra clearing exercises and psychosis. But understand the mechanics behind it and perhaps use this to understand it a little better: it causes problems because it is so effective a method for clearing blocked inner material. This is precisely what awakening does. The takeaway here that I hope you appreciate is that it moves you very quickly, perhaps too quickly, out of your comfort zone. And I ask you, what is your comfort zone? Is it perhaps a vast backlog of notions and beliefs about yourself and the world that have served to limit your awareness of who you are? The psychosis only comes from our own built-in resistance from the change that is upon us. Having said this, I do feel compassion with the uncertainty that can be felt in the early stages of awakening. I was there, at least initially, and I do have to remind myself daily that whatever resistance that I feel, no matter how small or seemingly inconsequential, is showing me the walls I have still yet to remove in order that I can return to my own state of origin.

Kundalini is a bit of a one-way street.  It does not care whether you want off the bus.  It does not care about your excuses.  Nor your seemingly fragile state.  It will do what it must to return you to clear-eyed honesty about yourself.  No more bullshit. And the path to this is direct and its through radical self-honesty.  Lie to yourself or others, and this force will kick your butt…..not as a punishment, but because you are now operating in a higher vibrational frequency and anything that does not align will be extremely difficult for you to continue with. The old way of being simply does not work.  Heal.  Open.  Surrender.  These are the words of the day.  No longer does the mask of your previous life work.  The moment of reckoning has come, so there you go. It is best to learn to be the water flowing in the river bed because this is kundalini.
Be like water, my friend.  In each moment when you feel resistance, just let go; kundalini is trying to teach you something.  You don’t even need to know what it is trying to get you to let go because wherever you feel the resistance will continue until you locate it and release it.  Only the psychotic would hold onto the misalignment and enjoy the pain, right?  That was what you once were, it is what you can no longer handle anymore, am I right?

So kundalini psychosis is simply resistance to the kundalini.  Sorry, but you can’t put the genie back into the bottle.  Go ahead and write the story.  Follow the path and let yourself be changed.  Apparently at some deep level your soul is needing this even if your ego is fighting it.  What lies on the other side of this is a bliss so wonderful it will leave you red-faced….

I’m sorry, but I feel that life is as you choose to see it.  And this way of seeing kundalini is a sure-fire way to invite suffering.  Why do that?  Kundalini is not something you can bargain with.  If you let go, you will get better.  I promise.  Everyone is letting go of the river’s bank.  We are all letting go.  We are letting that rushing river take us.  Sure, it might be the unknown that scares you, but conquering fear is a pretty big thing, isn’t it?  I mean, do you really think you will lose anything that you don’t already need? The syndrome and the emergency exists in how you are looking at it, reacting to it.  What seems to you like a 600 lb gorilla will turn into a brilliant and wonderful presence that is pure blessing.  This will take some time, so a little trust is in order.

It is asking you to believe in a power larger than you, and that includes you.  It is asking you to see this in a bigger kind of way.  We are way more than just this.  C’mon.  Just let go of that river bank.  Do you think you will sink, that you will drown?  Do you really?
This is asking you to reach across a gulf, a cognitive gap, to discover something more that you are…something you have always been. It is a step into the light, the truth, and out of the error that has left us limited in the past. The power that this has is located in being present. The less you fall for the past, the closer you are to the present and more capable of moving in a positive way into the future. Awakening is calling each of us to know who we are.

I can remember a day when I wondered why certain things happened into my life and knew that it had to do with how we create our own reality….but until I entered into a state that resulted in a rapid dismantling of the material within me that was serving to create that reality in the way it once did, it was hard to make a connection between how subconscious material can indeed rule our lives.

For those of you who are on to the Gnostic literature there is a lot in a number of the gospels in the Nag Hammadi Library that speaks directly to this.  In Phillip he says that the “evil” makes us do what we do not want to do and makes it impossible for us to do what we want to do.  This is karmic blocks. He goes on to say that this was what was meant when Jesus spoke of laying the axe at the roots.  To get at a problem, you have to go deep within to the source of the problem or issue.  It has to be pulled out entirely.  This type of work is not always as easy as it seems, and having methods that work both psychologically and physiologically can be very helpful.  But once you begin traveling down this path and are successful at removing a string of issues that had been dug in deep within, it frees up your insides enough that it can lead to cascades of releases.

In the near future I will be setting forth (as promised) some of the most effective means for releasing stored trauma that I have discovered along the way in my practice.  Some of these, it turns out, were in the process of being developed as I made my own discovery.  In perfect timing, they came, and I will be offering them to you for you to try on your own.  While yoga is an old tried and true series of methods and techniques for handling this sort of material, these newer methods get to the core of stored material.  The reason why this is so useful and so revolutionary is that it has the power to completely change your life by releasing you from feelings and thoughts that seem as though you have no control over.  While self control is a very useful way to cope with this stored material, it does not address it completely, while the methods I will be showing you go right to the root of the matter.  When you do this, you begin to enter, bit by bit, into a space of mind that is your authentic self that is more and more free from the more troubling things that may dog you in your emotional and spiritual life.

Life has taken a rather sudden turn over the last couple of months and time that I thought I would have for blogging has been entirely taken up with the new work that I am doing.  If you follow the blog you will know that this summer I began with work that I knew was more than just…well….work. I sensed right away the energetic and emotional landscape of the people I was working with.  I waited, knowing that when you become aware of another person’s inner material, it is only a matter of time before they start speaking about it.  Everyone can sense this level of awareness even if its subconscious, and when we really see people, it opens them and frees them to a large extent.  It can be the first step to real healing if they are ready for the work.  Then, in the midst of all of this, I found that a whole series of issues were being driven up in the events around me that showed me that none of this was an accident.  I was being shown aspects of issues that I had experienced and had been effected by.  But instead of being affected by this, I observed.  I was not surprised to find that my abusive ex would come onto the scene engaging in her usual punishing behavior.  Again, I did not respond.  Then, within 24 hours, I felt a deep thread of pain in my gall bladder meridian (yang energy line) release.  This area I have identified as being the place where there is a lot of the remaining stuck material.  Its been hard to deal with because it is the most current and “active” from my divorce 6 years ago.  After this happened, an entirely different level of feeling took over me.  A clearing took place and I found that people who were in the same alignment to this type of behavior simply fell away from my focus or concern. It was like an energetic deactivation.  Poof.  Just like that.

In the wake of this, cleared as I was, I found that the company I was working with was not able to continue keeping me in work.  I was not terribly worried about this because at a universal level, there was really no way to keep this association up anymore.  Whatever drove this person to contact me out of the many people who could have been working with him, was now simply gone.  I knew a new chapter was about to emerge, I just had no clue what it might involve.  I simply wait for the universe to bring the next thing I have to work with.

And then it came.  I didn’t go looking for it, dream of it, or anything like that.  Someone sought me out, just like before, and some of it just made no sense from a practical stand point.  This kind of thing isn’t always about practical, though.  Its what is needed.  So someone who was looking to buy land saw a property that I had that was vacant and loved it so much that he wanted to move in.  This person has been in a rapid period of change and recently walked away from a relationship that was abusive and chaotic.  He left with 58¢ in his pocket.  But this man was unconcerned about that fact.  He had worked with the likes of Warren Buffet and had done work with political and theatrical luminaries over his life.  It was all a part of his way of looking at the world and interacting with it.  He was at rock bottom and was beginning his next rise in this next chapter of his life.  And he was placed smack dab in the middle of my life.  What are the odds?  Right.  This is how this kind of abundance is created.

A week into working with him, I could feel how his own field of awareness was affecting my own.  I have lived a life from an early age that involved my awareness of consciousness as energy, and in awakening, this is greatly heightened.  I was surprised to find that the resistance I was feeling while working with him was not located in the areas where I thought I would do this type of release work.  I knew instinctively that the root is where abundance springs, but the tension or resistance (always a sign of a block) was coming from my solar plexus.  This was a new sensation and also a new awareness for me.  By focusing on this, I “got” rather quickly that my own will (solar plexus) had been the center that was blocking my own natural sense of abundance.  So all of those people who had tried to paint me as somehow less were in truth painting their own pictures, and I was going right along with it.  When we speak of others, so often, we speak of ourselves when it comes to our difficulties with them.  Its really just about us sometimes.  Luckily I have begun to cease trying to make it a problem that lies with another person and simply look inside of myself to understand why I have the issue with them and then own that.  I am able to turn a problem entirely on its head and make it work as a healing moment for me.  Instead of seeing the world as the problem I see that the problem is just me and is an excellent opportunity to heal the part of me that takes issue with the crazy behavior of another person who I have attracted like magic into my life who is a mirror of this issue I have not myself gotten over yet.

But recently I spoke about working with men in healing work….and along comes this man who was primed to finally change how he had been attracting abusive behavior into his life.  I will begin using a set of the methods I will be developing in my cleansing system with someone who is excited to free himself from the issues that lie deep within himself so he can live an even more abundant and happy life.  All of this honors the “patient” as the healer.  The problem with most energy healing is that until we are thoroughly healed ourselves, we can leave imprints of our own energy on others.  This is so subtle that most healers are not even aware that they are even doing it.  In my case, this is one reason why I have stopped short of doing healing work except with those who I know closely already because of the ressonant effect that this association can have.  Only when I have cleared the decks top to bottom would I ever consider doing energetic healing for this very reason.  The result is that you can wind up attracting people who are where you are in some fashion, and it can serve to reinforce rather than completely free the person being healed if the healing work is being done in a broad enough way.  The healer should always be the most healed person in the group otherwise they run the risk of creating more problems as they are trying their hardest to solve them. You have to do the healing first for yourself.

So I was able to gently release this tension inside of me.  My good friend served as a kind of control, and anytime I would feel a sense of resistance, I just looked at it with compassion and let more healing and surrender into my awareness.  Now what do you think this does?  It begins to release some pretty dug in material.  In an entirely bizarre event I was able to take the deceit visited upon me for years and turn it completely on its head.  And the most amazing thing was I didn’t do anything except hold a certain state or vibration. I had a break-in to my home that resulted in a rather sudden turn of events that had the power to completely change the terms of engagement with someone who had been playing by her own rather warped rules of acceptable behavior.  All I had to do was to simply show up, document it, and leave the rest to the universe.  No more drama, no more trouble, no more feeling bad about myself. When something is about to release that is this deep, some pretty amazing things will often happen that show you that its a world of energetic alignment that is doing the work for you.

Lying deeper within all of this exists a still deeper lesson that takes holding on to and allowing it to grow and set up shop in the mind of the heart.  This took years to get to this place, but when you align to what is fair and true, the universe has a way of supporting that.  As soon as I was able to deal with the issue deeper down, the people who had been involved in all of this drama pretty much screwed the pooch in such a dramatic way that it sounds more like a line out of a movie than anything that might actually happen.  Except that it did.  And me?  I just keep doing my work and let the world be what it is.  There was no sense of justice, no sense of anyone getting theirs.  If anything, a kind of relief mixed with a sadness for them.  But this will itself fall away as well when I allow myself to fully come into my own on this account. Far from karma being a judgement or punishment or someone “getting theirs” I see it as neutral but which is activated by how we feel.  Change that, and you can change the nature of events very quickly.  When someone lives a life so full of dishonesty, it just has a way of coming back on them without a single finger being lifted.  Its their life, not mine.  It becomes their choice even though they might be lost in the miasma of their own emotions that seem to tell them that they are not  the problem.  They just aren’t my problem anymore because I am seeing and feeling it differently now.  How could that be a part of my reality when I am so different?  Now bear in mind, this is not just my wishing to be different, its a sea change.  It is a laying of the axe at the root and taking it out in entire.  Wishful thinking is great for developing vision for the future and as a path for future work, but it does not really address the issues themselves in the present.  All of this is useful, but if you want to be done with something, you have to change your mind completely about how you feel and respond.  I am not here to love someone healthy anymore, or to help them like they are some sort of broken birdie project.  I used to think I owed people something of myself.  What I owe is a debt of gratitude that the world is made the way it is that it allows my innermost self to be reflected in the people and events that are in my life.  Now that I have begun clearing the deeper root issues, things are changing fast now, and I am looking forward to a positive turn of events and in life now.

The world is now opening up for the next chapter, one in which I will be able to allow my native abundance to really flow unhindered.  I know who I am in a way I didn’t allow myself to be.  It is now time to have a lot of fun.

Until next time, my bearers of light….

There are few people in our experience who have as powerful presence in our lives as family. So foundational, so basic to who we are. Most often people, like our parents, serve to show us something incredibly important about ourselves. Most often, though, we often view our parents with a mixture of love, frustration, joy, and hurt…and we pull away when we see the negative aspects in them, and us, coming. Parents, though, can show you right where your own fractures are. You just need to know how to see them. Most often, when things go bad, we focus only on the wounds that we feel, as some form of victimization in some way or another. We didn’t get enough of something, or got too much of something else. Lying behind our shadowed experiences with family lies a rich bed of truth, and only when you are brave enough to suspend your own personal misgivings about them, can you reach into this truth about yourself.

Hurt or feeling a victim is itself a snake swallowing it’s tail; it continues until you choose to step out of this feeling, this self-chosen definition of who you think you are. This is not easy since feelings associated with childhood go so far back. It’s a hard habit to break. But it’s possible to step out of the vortex of your own pain or hurt in order to know these deeper truths. There is little else that heals as quickly your own issues which are often called the mother and father wound.

Many years ago, in 2009, I was assisted by a brilliant intuitive in what was a guided imagery exercise deep into my early feelings when I was a child. That experience was one of awareness about my own investment in a feeling as an infant that led me to seeing the root of the problem I had instead of just seeing or feeling the symptoms, the surface, of that old wound within myself.
So often, we hold our own emotions at a distance so that we never really examine them or understand them all that well. What I was guided to do was to reach into my memory of feeling during my first year of life. This was so early a memory I did not experience any identifiable memories, but instead the memory of a feeling.
With a father dying from cancer, my mother was suddenly facing being alone with 4 children to care for. I was just over a year old at the time. Just a baby, really.  I didn’t get what I knew that I needed. It formed the core of a wound that followed me every day of my life. As a baby, all I knew was that I wasn’t getting what my inner compass told me that I needed. It was out of this mismatch that my wound emerged. Was it because I wasn’t loveable?

The guided imagery, which expertly took me deep within myself, allowed me a level of comprehension that I had l lacked up until the session began. I had always assumed that the core of my feelings were just too buried in memory and they weren’t accessible. No matter how early these things occur, we all have the information within us. Instead of conscious memory, my guide took me deep into feeling, a path whose comprehension is as fresh as can be.

This experience showed me that behind the tangle of upset lay deeper feelings I hadn’t fully examined. The first stage in the healing was in simply understanding how I felt. No more arm’s length. There was more there that I had hurriedly hidden away within myself that kept a fuller understanding at bay. It was brilliant because as soon as I did this, I was then able to see things as they were, or more so where my Mother and I were concerned. I saw my Mother in a way I had never seen her before. This enabled me to forgive not just her, but myself for having clung to this old feeling for so long. I felt foolish for making her responsible for my own misgivings. I was not aware nor in harmony with the flow of events. I suffered as a result….for years.

The result of this work was that it cleared an old karma of mine and also of my Mother’s. She felt guilt because she knew I had been at odds with her, and I had felt anger towards her for something I didn’t get. This was a self-reinforcing problem until I snipped the loop of the snake. The change was instantaneous.

This changed our relationship for the better. I saw her differently and felt differently, too. It was a liberating experience. I was able to see beyond my own mess and her load was lightened from then on. It was one of the biggest reliefs I had felt in my life. It’s hard to realize how these feelings weigh us down and shutters our awareness.

Healing these wounds are critically important to substantive spiritual growth and gets at fundamental issues about ourselves that are less about the victim and more about seeing things as they are. When you can do this, feelings can be changed forever. Until you do this work, you are in truth only running from yourself. It’s about you, and less about them. It’s more about your reaction, and less about what they did. Divine forgiveness sweeps through your entire being and completely erases the trauma or hurt that you had stored there. A new chapter can then be written in your life that changes everything based on the healing of the hurt for all time. It never returns when healed in this way.
While there might be other issues floating in the ether, these become easier to heal and let go. You can reach a point of bold curiosity and desire to do more of this work. To do it, you often must forget what you think you know.

You can’t forgive with your head and expect healing to come. This must come from all parts of you. It is what healing these things that makes healing so huge for you. Everything else is just trimming weeds. The process I went through was unconditional and took me to the core, to the hidden root of the problem.

My daughter and I clowning for the camera recently

Years later I was able to see how during a divorce, my children were being polarized into anger over how her mother was acting. Yes, she had been emotionally abusive. The mother of my children began to engage in inappropriate behavior by indulging in what is called in psychiatric circles as mobbing behavior. Mobbing happens when someone decides they hate another person and tries to turn other people against the targeted person through a campaign of criticism and denigration. Healthy people will know better than to let their own upset get the better of them, especially in a divorce where children are involved. But in cases of mental instability or abusive tendencies, a parent can engage in a campaign of seeking to alienate the target just to get back at them, to try to destroy what they hold most dear; their children and the relationship they have with them.
In the case of one of my children, she found that what her mother was saying was untrue due in part to because she chose to retain her own sense of self and willingness to be objective. Because she was willing to spend time with me, she was able to very quickly  see how what her mother was saying just didn’t hold up. This is where this type of campaign can backfire on the parent who is engaging in the denigration of the other parent, resulting in a child who sees through the deception with a broken sense of trust, with resentment that often follows.

Yes, she could have wound up hating her Mom. Had I been like her Mother, I could have taken this and run with it. I knew though that the future of my child’s coping skills hinged on her having a good relationship with her mother and myself.  I urged her to forgive, and the amazing thing is, she did. She forgave and she forgot.

This is how this work goes. To be free, you have to release all negative feeling in order to be able to move on with greater happiness. It’s the holding on that causes us to suffer and keeps us not fully healed. It transforms how you see the person who hurt you and it’s instantaneous.
The difference between my one child who took the bait his Mother was feeding him and my daughter who was more willing to find out the other side of the story is like night and day. It’s hard as a parent to know how you are setting up a child for failure in their life when you succeed in getting a child to believe falsehoods about the other parent that serve to make a normal relationship impossible for the child. This child now has the classic symptoms of parental alienation which include depression, anxiety, anger management issues, and difficulty holding down jobs or completing long-scale tasks like graduating from high school, or completing a college program. Children of alienation are unable to form lasting relationships and tend to move around a lot, from relationships every few years, as well as changing jobs every few years. It is always the problem of the school, the boss, or significant other.
While you should never stay in a bad situation with toxic people, the people so abused do not have healthy coping skills, which is the legacy that this type of abuse nails to the hearts and minds of children like this. I can tell you just how tragic it is to have not just a spouse engage in this denigration against you, but to have a once-loving child swept up in this terrible outcome. So you can see how important it was for me to make sure that my child could have the benefit of the love and support she so badly needs in order to grow up more whole and healthy as an adult.

When I began the session with my intuitive, I had no idea where we’d wind up. Neither did she; she was being led in large part by her own gift, and this is how her work often is. It also is what makes her so incredibly successful in her intuitive work with people. It helped to transform my relationship with my own Mother, and has led to a happier and more joyful life. This rising tide will lift all boats.

I encourage you to do this work because it’s so basic and foundational, and can have the power to change so much  within you that has been a problem or stumbling block  for years. With help like this, difficult problems can be changed in an instant when you are ready and have excellent guidance from a gifted person like I had.

Family is so important to us and for us. Being able to transform the nature of something difficult into something positive is a truly beautiful thing. It touches on your and their lives as well as your siblings, if you have them.

For anyone who would like to explore this work more in-depth, I am happy to share her contact information. Just drop me a line or request it to find out more.

I am working on the most difficult chapter in my book, which is going back into the historical record to show how Christian orthodoxy was an outgrowth of a much deeper mystical current that existed with the first Christian (Jesus), and that through the intervening years between his Ascension and the institutionalizing of the church, this deeper connection to soulful truth was lost.

It is a difficult chapter  for a number of reasons. One is bias.I am up against an entrenched tradition that is used to believing what it believes.  The other is a tradition that was built off of and drew from an earlier “doxos” (or thought) but lost critical aspects or concepts necessary for it to more deeply guide it’s followers to the depths of who they were. The other difficulty has been time. The sheer accretion of it as a belief system has made it a stumbling block, most notably for those with the most need for clearing a path within that leads both into themselves and into the vast realm that is the Kingdom. Lastly, it is challenging because so much has to be packed in to what must be a short and to the point chapter.

To untangle this has meant that I need to bring not just scholarly resources to the table, but the reality and experience of awakening as well. It means that I have to show how this first tradition was lost long before ink was set to papyrus, and how it most likely happened.

The challenge that comes along with all of this is how the early church sought to scour from history those books and sects that actually served to birth Christianity before it was a state institutionalized religion. A lot of supporting material that I could have used has been lost. However, despite all of this, something amazing has been given to us in our current era. It came in the form of a time capsule, an honest to goodness time capsule buried in the perfect spot in order that it could survive the heresy hunters that have come and gone over the centuries as Christendom has grown.

In an interesting twist of fate, a man named none other than Muhammad Ali (no, not that Ali) uncovered one of the greatest finds to date of early Christian thought in the desert in Egypt just outside the town called Nag Hammadi. Without knowing it, Ali played a role in helping rewrite history by helping to bring forward the very documents the early church came to revile, and which it spent so much effort in burning, anathematizing, and demonizing.

While the Nag Hammad find took place in 1945, translations of the more than forty books were not completed and brought into the broader publishing world until about 1972. As a result, we are only now beginning to assess more deeply the impact that these books have had not only on how we conceived Christianity, but also ourselves at our deepest of levels.
The reason why I am approaching this subject is two-fold. First, as Westerners, we have been touched most by Christianity than any other religion. Even people who are not members of a church or who buy into the faith at all are still affected by the reach of a religion whose values have threaded themselves into so many facets of our lives. Many people today might not be involved in the church, but very often their parents took them to church as children, or they have grandparents who did. Secondly, there is the issue of the truths and the path that could have happened, but didn’t, and how important the teachings were to anyone, regardless of any religious affiliation. Before there was a religion, there were brilliant messages that were plucked from the Light, which transcends all religions or institutions.
The story here, at its core, is about an infection. It is the infection of ignorance and how it can turn it’s own deliverance into a 1600 year odyssey of illusion. I know how bad that sounds, and honestly, I am grappling hard with how to strike the right balance in this one important chapter in WTI. Sometimes you have to know how to break the news gently. But this isn’t just about overturning a beloved institution. It is  not about that at all. It is in fact about a way to recognize that we have been swimming in the shallows all this time, and that a deep ocean beckons to be explored.
The problem that we face in the wake of the discovery and subsequent dissemination of the Nag Hammad Library into the mainstream is that the conversation about it has lacked a thread of continuity of knowing (or gnosis) when studying the texts that make up the collection. As a result, those who did the translating and the commentaries that accompany the books admit to being mystified by their central precepts. These books cannot just be read with the intellect, or with orthodoxy weighing heavy in the mind, but must, I feel, be read with the heart and the soul. These books ask of us something more than what orthodoxy ever did. It isn’t surprising to find that Christian scholars are so dumbfounded. They are inheritors of a tradition that never demanded that they utilize the hidden depths. It is now time that we did. What’s more is that people are  ready.
These books from the Nag Hammad Library, the best of them, ask us to take that leap into the unknown in order to retrieve or discover that which most of us have lost or have buried. This isn’t about facts and concepts, but a quality that IS us. Curiously, in some of the books, they provide the simplest and clearest means to reach awakening, which Jesus called the Kingdom.
To do all of this in one small chapter has led to the realization that this first book won’t be “the” book most widely read, but will be the foundation for a number of them. What gets laid down in this one small but potent chapter on Christianity will lead to a book that side steps the Orthodox journey and helps to bring a turn of mind and willingness to go deeper. More than a dry analysis of these “new books” from Egypt, it will show how they communicate the ineffable and help bring us closer to it, less by rational discourse and more by tapping our innate powers of feeling in order to conceive what is in fact entirely revolutionary in each of us. In an effort to set themselves apart from other religions, Christianity denied the very aspects that are universal to reaching enlightenment by hiding something terribly important to all of us.
The chapter on Christianity in the book I am writing now will be to wet our whistle for a deeper dive into what the origins of Christianity could have become. The book will examine all of the historical evidence and will ask readers to be audacious enough to step into the gap, their own unknown, to reach out, and in, to retrieve what is still missing in so many of us.
My dear friend and spiritual cohort who is one of the most gifted psychic intuitives I have ever met, said to me many years ago that there would be a book that I would write that would be the book, and it wasn’t the one I was working on then. This ruffled my feathers back then partly because I had so much time, so much experience, tied up in the effort of that manuscript that I had in front of me. But here it is, six years later, and as I begin working on this one chapter, I can feel the presence of an entirely new book muscling it’s way into my awareness. When Ali told me about this as we sat in the car at the gas station that rainy day, she said, “That book is already written, Parker….it’s just waiting for you to put it to paper.” Sometimes a wise man needs a wise woman to help him see the bigger picture.

Part of the soul of this new book is how we can change our world by being able to acknowledge one element, one simple aspect of our inner spiritual reality  that the Orthodox tradition swept under the rug right from the beginning. I sense, at this time, that it has to do with something that will only work if we begin to embody and practice it in our day to day. The way we are going about it now will only lead to a growing divide between all of us and our fundamental nature’s. We need to become aware and begin working now if we are to stave off what could become an ever-widening gap in our society and all of its institutions.

How A Book Not Yet Written Catalyzed A New Paradigm For Men

What is so interesting about this is that in the months prior to beginning work on this chapter, I felt a clear need to begin doing a type of inner work with men. This was an unexpected realization, and it happened during a conversation I was having about retreats for women who were doing spiritual healing of their own. When asked if I would want to be a contributing partner in this visionary idea, I found quite suddenly that I really needed to work with men, at least at first. At the time I really had no idea about what that work would entail.
The idea was firmly planted though, and it hasn’t budged a single bit since then. The earliest ideas began in my mind as a group who would first gather locally to begin revisioning the masculine, to, as a group, share and work together to come up with solutions that will aid in recreating the masculine experience and identity. This would be done without destroying what is the essence of what it is to be men in an essential way, apart from cultural expectations and programming. This local group would then be translated into a larger arena where workshops and retreats would be formed in order to reach a wider audience. That assumed that men would ready for this, and I personally see many who are.

Since then, without fully knowing what the content would be exactly, the concept has evolved very quickly into a means to effect a much needed paradigm shift. This shift will have the result of creating a space and knowing about how to heal our innermost spiritual, and emotional fractures related to masculine identity. The outcome of this, I sense, will be men who live very different lives and whose own healing will also help heal a new generation of women who have been yearning quietly for this sort of outcome, for this kind of man in their lives, be they father, brother, son, or lover.
I know that you might be wondering how this type of work is connected to a book on Christianity. It ties into fundamental beliefs about our identities which were supported and informed by the church. It has played it’s part in keeping a great secret from itself and us. This secret has the power to transform all of us. It is the missing ingredient that when added, is tranformative at the most basic and essential levels. Since paternalism had a hand in the early church, and because of the extraordinary scope of the reach the church has had on most Westerners, being able to see the church as how it could have been actually can show men how they can be today by correcting this one simple aspect that got hidden away by men. Men did this, and now we can each undo it. The results should be interesting to say the least.
Having said this, this work won’t be limited to heterosexuals since it will not be built on the old paradigm which has an often unrecognized or acknowledged codependency at its core. It will instead seek to bring healing and fresh thinking to the individual first, with the balance then achieved in the self naturally rippling outward with new effects, new eventualities, coming into the lives of those who participate. This will be driven naturally and organically as an outcome of this re-visioning process that will call upon, not coincidentally, the one aspect that the early Orthodox Church sought to hide, whether by ignorance or design.
There is a lot that I haven’t written about in specific terms because to do so would mean a number of posts. The main core of the work will in fact be incredibly simple because instead of this being a process of reshaping the selves of men, it actually serves to bring men to the one place within them that society has taught them to ignore. Instead of methods, finding this lost part of themselves will BE the method, the compass, the guide, the teacher. We have been envisioning this the wrong way, you see.

What I sense that this awareness can liberate in men is an amazing relatedness to their deepest selves…this in turn will bring greater and greater layers of fulfillment which will be a healing balm for the rough edges we have had for so long. I am merely it’s facilitator. You are the healer!
It only takes a single pebble dropped in the calm waters of a self ready for change to effect this change.

Who knew what writing this one chapter might birth or clear the way for all of this to begin coming through?
For now, I have a chapter to write. Besides my own work that sustains me in my day to day, I have an outline to write along with how to include all elements necessary to make this book what it needs to be. Concurrent with this will no doubt be setting up the framework for my first group of men who are ready to take that first step into a new world.

What divides you is keeping the fullness of awakening from being known within you. What divides you keeps not just your mind in seperation, but it keeps your whole self seperated to one degree or another.

The term “samscara” is a Sanskrit word that means “soul scar” and this scar lies at the foundation of our feelings, motivations, and actions in the world. The soul scar divides the self from being completely whole, aware, and unified to its origin. Many might think that this scar is the sum total of what has been done to us that has caused hurt or pain. In truth, the samscara is created out of our own reflection on the world, and arises out of the contrast between our expectations of the world and how the world actually is. This is the source of all suffering. But this is an inner event that takes place, this perception that things are not how we want them or expect them to be.
It is a reaction. We in the West fail often to understand how we feel is a choice. We think it is just how we are made, that we have no choice. People MAKE us feel certain ways. Am I your maker? I make you? No, you make you. Always.

If you take five people and have them each experience the same event, you will most likely get a range of reactions. For the person who has a strong sense of expectation that the event was negative, that person will see it and feel it that way. This feeling will also color how they saw the event for years to come. But for the person who does not have the same level of expectation, there will be much less in the way regarding their perception and feelings about the event as purely negative. It will be much easier for them to see that the event unfolded the way it did because of the limitations that the participants had. It wont be taken personally, but seen more clearly. What is so hard for us is that we want to believe all kinds of things, all perfectly noble and good about how we think the world should be, but the truth, more often than not, is that the world just does not match what we believe inside ourselves. When we are unable to come to terms with this, we remove ourselves from our capacity to forgive and move on. Instead, we are hooked by it. If the contrast within us compared to what’s happening in the world is great enough, it forms a soul scar. It then forms the basis of a stumbling block where we then suffer in big and small ways from then on. The nature of the scar, the suffering, will be activated over and over until it is healed.

The samscara is not just one emotional issue, but is in fact made up of a whole cluster of issues. Whatever your expectations are of the world that the world does not match, will most likely form the basis of  problems for you.

Healing the samscara requires radical honesty about how you feel and react to the world around you. Healing the samscara requires the deepest innermost forgiveness, not of others, but of yourself, for having put yourself into a position where you were less than your truest being. To be this true being means being honest about how you have chosen to suffer. As long as you believe that your suffering comes about by anyone except yourself, you will continue to remain in a maze of your own making, a blend of dharma and samsara (different from samscara)…with your own beliefs about yourself leading the way. I don’t think I need to tell you how difficult this sort of combination is for any of us.

The secret of the samscara lies in how it divides our awareness. If awakening is the result of a merging of our opposites, the samscara is that which keeps  inner union from reaching its fullest possible expression in each of us. Awakening is a partial union, an initiation, and is so rich and intoxicating, that most so touched by it forever seek it. Awakening is just the  water upon our lips, and full union is a wholesale cleansing that allows us to become purer vessels, realized vessels, for this water of life, which we once sipped and found so amazing, so celestial, which now pours through us with perfect peace and acceptance of what is. Curiously, this is where we each can best change the world, not in the perception of division and seperation that the samscara always creates.

The curious things about the samscara is that while it divides, it also becomes the agent for change and transformation. It is the crack that lets in the light. When the pain gets to be too much, something deep within asks the question, is this all that there is? Most often, this is the spark that catalyzes a deeper relationship with the full undivided awareness of self and can lead to the kindling of the creative fire, the powerful flow of prana, that is called kundalini.

Do you see how the image above fractures our being? Our awareness of ourselves as truly whole? Do you see how it stands between the two sides of the energy body? The Ida and Pengali? The yin and yang? Do you see that the samscara is in the center of awareness, blocking out fuller union, fuller embodiment of this higher or more expansive experience of ourselves? Do you see that the samscara, the wound, is also opening to let in the light? Do you also see that the whole self already radiates the light of the totalities?

The samscara is made up  of beliefs. These beliefs are about the world, yes, but they are always fundamentally about you. So often we look to the events in childhood to try and find the genesis of our samscara….but the truth is that the origin of the samscara comes from you. Beyond all time, beyond all cause and effect.

Everyone who awakens speaks at one point or another about how time is an illusion, yet often we do not bother to consider that what happened in our childhood or in later life came from who we are outside of time, in the very spacious present so many espouse being aware of. It is here, in us, that all of our glitches have emerged. Since this involves awareness beyond the world of cause and effect, it is hard for us to embrace this timeless realm from which we each come to be incarnated in bodies here in this world. It also means that all problems begin first in ourselves.
When you can reach into this realm beyond time, you can heal your samscara for all lifetimes. Do it now, and you can feel the tension in the karmic cords it creates through all that you are and all that you have been and will become. It is precisely because it is so total a healing that it is so effective. The effect this will have for you in your evolution is that of a quantum leap.

This is how total we each must learn to be in our own sense of personal responsibility. It is one reason why whenever I tried to get over a hurt I thought someone had caused me, just as I reached into the root of the problem, I always found that it wasn’t the other person who needed  forgiveness, I was always brought to the inner truth of all of it, which was I had to forgive myself.

This is the radical honesty that emerges when you heal the samscara. We stop seeing ourselves as being at the mercy of others and events for how we feel, and we own up to our part in it. It reverses victimization by bringing the awareness of what we did to create such a weakened dysfunctional condition in ourselves in the first place. This is not blaming the victim, it is stopping being a victim by healing our part in the equation.

We are energetic beings. So many of us are stuck believing that the five senses are all there is to our experience. Awakening shows us that HOW we feel and HOW our consciousness is constructed has a subtle nonphysical effect on what we experience and attract in our lives. You change all of this by changing what you are inside.

You try to change it by changing where you live, but it follows you. Some things you can change when you want to heal, like not interacting with someone who you feel has hurt you. This is perfectly reasonable and can give you enough breathing room to be honest with yourself about where the old problem lies (within you). But try to initiate another effort to create a new life, without healing the samscara in you, and versions of all the same problems just keep returning. This is the karmic merry go round. What gets you off of it is how you change how you feel and identify with an aspect of your being that is anything less than healed.

Anything that you see that serves to limit your fulfillment in your life is a sign  of something that needs to be set right. There is no one way to do this, but your higher self knows. It will step in and set it right when you can lay ego and the rational mind aside enough for it to enter.
By going deep within and finding the root of the problem, you can heal it. In so doing, your own inner awareness of what you are will grow and unfold for you. The result of this is that whatever was snagging you or causing you a problem will no longer be there.

The way to reach the root of the problem is not by the rational mind. You have to use FEELING. This is NOT emotion! This is your intuitive capacity to know the source of all things in you. You do know. You must practice feeling

This begins with a willingness to stop thought to any degree that you can, and feel yourself. Then, you feel deeper and deeper. You let go and drift into yourself with a quiet mind and awareness that is present. It is so easy, but so hard to explain. It is like you are visiting a new world, which is your deeper self, and you are along for the ride. You can access material from earliest childhood using this method. Feel it. Don’t judge or resist. It is deceptively easy, and you need to work through your own beliefs that block you from achieving this.

Tips

When you forgive, forgive with all that you are. Imagine the problem seeping out of every corner of your being, top to bottom, like a vibration that is leaving every cell in your body. Breathe deep and slow. Then use a panting breath, like a tiger or jungle cat does. It will move a lot of energy. Close your eyes and imagine that you are floating in a deep blue ocean, unafraid of its depths and willing to drift deep into it.

Pray to Source to see and accept your apology. Offer up this problem, not with a desire to fix it, but to simply remove it. These problems were not created by the rational self so the must be given up without a hint of ever trying to understand them this way. Hand them over to that in you that touches and lives in a higher vibrational state. This is how you transmute all low vibrational problems within you.

Expect a miracle.

Be open to change. Be like a child; open and ready for the new.
The moment you think you have everything pegged, step back and observe. Do you really? If you are still suffering, there is more work to do.

Stop assuming that you know where you are headed. A higher intelligence is running this if you will surrender control and allow your awareness of its presence to fill your life. It is so much bigger than your awareness that it takes faith, like a child, to be led by it.Y you go from pushing the river to working harmoniously with it. Your doing is now allowing. Do you see? The rational self controls. It is also limited. It cannot begin to dream of what could enter your experience next.

Grace comes by way of matching discipline and faith together as partners in your day to day growth and progress to realization.
When you are stuck, sit quietly in meditation (this can happen anywhere …even while shopping or standing in line) ask to be shown what remains to do. If it doesn’t show up as inner guidance, it will show up as events in your life. Pay attention and see how they are mirroring something inside of you. Then, by witnessing this, not ingratiating yourself with it by being reactive and emotionally invested, ask yourself how you can choose to feel differently. This is how you can actively break the chain of behavior that keeps the samscara active.

Devote yourself to love in its deepest possible expression. When you do this, seperation is dissolved in you. Love unifies. If you feel like a stranger in a strange land, love has the power to heal this. Love does not exist in condition. If you cannot do this with someone in your life, this is a sign that this is a place where more love needs to be in you. It points to a block in you. It works perfectly when you let it.
You cannot control the world, nor make it better by following old methods or paradigms for change. Instead, make yourself the paradise you would like to see in the world. You will wind up seeing all the aspects of this paradise that you had missed previously because of your blinders. If you are paradise, this will have a much better chance of catching on than any campaign sought to change through the mind.
Every part of this forms the basis of my “work” that always, in time, leads to profound healing. I hope that it can help shift your own awareness too. Nemaste.
