Over the course of awakening I have found that my comprehension concerning energy has evolved significantly over the last eight years.  Before awakening I read auras, I had a native ability to pick up on this energy, but when awakening came this sense easily tripled in sensitivity.

As a result of this, I have found that I am picking up on aspects of energy that no one is even talking about.  When I read documents such as on pranayama or on the Golden Flower, I often find that there is a lot missing in understanding what is at work in the energy body of a person.  A few months ago I was being worked on by a therapist who was doing massage and energy work.  I could follow what she was doing, which was clearing individual lines of energy through the meridian or nadi channels in my etheric or energy body.  As she did this, I found myself changing the way that I looked or picked up on my own energy field; I began looking DOWN through the energy channels, and when I did this, I saw something completely different from anything I have ever heard described.  What I was able to see was the presence of the chakra wheels in each channel in a certain arrangement.  This showed to me an aspect of how our energy works, which is how the chakras have their own channels through which their own energy frequency flows alongside the frequencies of other centers. Why this is important is that once you know HOW each intersecting line in the energy body is composed, you can direct pressure into that point in a very exacting way in order to release a portion of a block in, say, the sacral chakra, by how one applies pressure in one portion of the meridian system that is far from the center being worked on.

I have also found that the directional flow that most yogis and other practitioners talk about is not actually the flow of the pranic force but is something else altogether.  While it IS an effect of how energy flows, it is not directly tied to energetic flow, but is in truth more about energetic harmonics.  Have you ever heard about pranic harmonics?  I didn’t think so.  No one talks about it.  What does it mean for a healer?  What does it say about your own level of energetic awareness? What can you do to delve into the world of energy more and understand this at a higher order than you had before? The benefits are that you can help others with their own energy and you can understand your own energy and the energy of the universe.

The question I have is whether or not there is interest in this kind of material.  I know that by expanding our awareness in this region, we can also expand our capacities as healers. What say you?

I am going to go for the money shot and use words like “Earth Shattering” and “Implications” because I think its time to grab some attention.  It is time to grab your attention because there is something huge going on in the realm of hyperspatial realization…..otherwise known as nonduality.

In the same way that L.S.D. was a revolutionary drug during the 1960’s that helped people to see, feel, and look at the world differently, so too is nonduality every bit as revolutionary.  Actually, its more so because there is a chemistry in your physical body that is created that continues or drives your ability to continue to have these experiences of nonduality, its what Jana Dixon wrote about in her incredibly important book called The Physiology of Kundalini. Its her own observations about the chemistry of the experience, and there is a lot there. As you might know already, there is a dearth of research on the issue of kundalini, so a lot of what is related is based on observation and not peer review or having hundreds of subjects on board for testing (as this is still a somewhat rare experience that is slowly becoming less-rare there is a lag in information on the subject outside of the Vedas and Eastern traditions)

Nonduality is a mind-bending kind of experience because it has the power to remake your psyche.  It really is just that powerful of an experience.  You might wonder why on earth would your psyche need to be re-formed, and to that I will say that the very process of thought needs to change in some fundamental ways if the energetic flow o the source code material is to move through you.  You cannot send a signal of any kind unless the device is properly prepared.  The body and the nervous system and brain all must go through a reformation process if any of this is going to be successful, and this is hard for people who are strong in the ego department (which means most of us as westerners).  Trust me, for those of you who think you don’t have strong egos, ego goes far deeper than what we normally think it does.  Modern psychiatry has only scratched the surface of understanding the ego, never mind how to deal with ego once the force of kundalini is raging in you and ego is putting up a fight deep in the recesses of your subconscious self. This is where mania happens, or where psychotic breaks occur if you aren’t careful.  This is a powerful force, no less powerful than a DMT trip but absent the visual hallucinations, but full of feeling and awareness of the reality of how things are, dawning one moment to another moment within your awareness. It is a trip unlike any other, but it is also a trip that is about moving from illusion to reality.

For people who enter this realm who are overly rational and mental, this can spell winding up in an institution.  But for those who can go with the flow of the experience, then amazing things lie in wait. You might have been drawn to the idea of the exotic trip with ayahuasca in the Amazon or trying DMT or other psychedelics.  However, what I can promise you is that all of this same kind of chemistry already exists inside of you….not the kind of chemsitry where you trip or hallucinate necessarily, but an experience that opens you up dimensionally within your brain and cellular intelligence to the hyperdimensional nature of both your consciousness and the physical universe all at the same time.  And what is this universe? Its really kind of wild.  What appears to be random objects in space just bumping up against each other, all their own shape and form and for sentient life, their own individual selves, is actually a vast organism of being wherein everything is connected.  And this is not itself a seeming.  It is what is there once your mind opens or “blooms” through the thousand-petalled lotus of the Hindus or the Golden Flower of the Taoists.  This is the Ka of the Egyptians, and the Kah of the Maya and Polynesians.  It turns out that its all the same thing.

What makes nonduality so incredibly huge and important to us today is that when you are under its influence, you can literally become the thing you look at. I dont mean an illusion of sameness or connection, but independantly verifiable connection whereby just as two photons which have been “entangled” (connected through an association with each other) and when taken apart, one photon will react when the other photon is being energized.  This has been found to happen over vast distances and that time and space may have no effect on entangled particles. Deeper down this rabbit hole is the realization that physicsts are coming to which (is not surprise to me) is that is is potentially possible that EVERYTHING in the universe is somehow entangled with itself.  This means that we are all connected in together.  It means that when you are able to have the flow of energy moving through you that ancients have described as the universal force, you can FEEL anything that is out there.

The Gospel of Philip, which is rich in its use of nonduality elements explains that in our world here we can see the sun and then we can walk away and we know that we are separate from it.  We can do the same with people, with the moon, flowers, institutions, events, and atoms.  However, in the “other” world, as Philip puts it, when we look at the sun, be become the sun.  When we look at a person, we become that person.  When we see a war, we become that war, or other event.

What happens in nonduality is that the barrier betwen self and other falls away.  In truth, this barrier was not real. It never was.  It was a construct of the self to keep the self separate from everything else.  And yet, all of our seeking is actually about how we are connected to something larger, something bigger.  It is as though we cut ourselves off from a wonderful kingdom only to then go on pining for that land lifetime to lifetime.  This way of being is what we seek.  It is what we are after.  Religions will package it certain ways, but in all truth, you do not need a religion or method to know God or the living universe.  You just don’t. And without a religion, you have no beliefs that you MUST cling to, some of which are subject to the error of thousands of people who followed in the first teacher’s footsteps that then get copied through the texts as this material gets distributed through the world.  Why even go for such a “lossy” way of copying information. What if I told you that there is a way to knowing that is far more direct and transformative and that it does not require a drug trip nor a lot of money, or a teacher or a method, or any of that.

It is also the end of all belief if you are brave enough for that. It is the end of belief and the beginning of EXPERIENCE.  Why BELIEVE in a god when you can experience that god directly? You see, with nonduality, the seeming barrier between you and the other thing only exists in your mind.  YOU have created this barrier, and you have also maintained it, all the while holding back a VAST realm of energy. And you know, the world has gotten so expert at holding it back that it views letting go as the ultimate in defeat, of laziness, of not being “with it” or being focused here in this world.  It is in some measure not so different from what the beat and hipsters sought to do, which was to find a new way….ANY way out of the maze they had found themselves in.  The really courageous thing was that this did not involve religions necessarily, although a lot of people did trade a religion for something like Hindu gods and goddesses.  Some people even grew their hair, wore turbans and took eastern-sounding names like Ram Das or the like. I’m not criticizing those people because in a way, they needed to feel different and be different and this was a path for them to do it. They also gave up fundamentalism (most likely) for something far more embracing of differences and the great mystery of the universe. And certainly the Eastern traditions have a much better grasp on mystery than the western traditions ever seemed to have (except for the mystic strains that ran through Judaism, Islam, and Christianity).

The power to BE the thing that you observe.

What happens when this comes over you is that you FEEL the thing you observe.  You can quite literally receive direct imprints in the form of energetic psycho-physical data that is nearly instantaneous.  It leads to having high psi abilitiy as a result, or what we call psi. Yesterday I felt how my neighbor had suddenly come into my mind and I could feel his focus and presence on me in some way.  I found later that day as I got home that he had put a note on my door, the first of its kind ever since I have lived next to this guy, and it was about how he really wanted to see my house because he knows I am wanting to sell it. It turns out that at the same time when I felt his presence inside of me while visitng with a friend, he was on his way to my house sticking the note on my door.  This morning, for example, I could feel how an electronic transaction was being done that resulted in money being transferred to my account.  After four days of no activity on the end of the entity that was responsible for doing this, I suddenly could feel this rather cursory sense that someone or something had “seen” my transaction in a database somewhere and had marked my money for transfer. I had checked my account earlier and there was no money from this transaction.  Then within an hour of having feeling this, I checked my account to find that the money had been transferred at the time that I had felt it actually happening.  This is what I mean about this world that you enter into. It has a new set of rules, you could say, nd with it come a flood of different experiences. It also means a  different awareness and sense of responsibilty for what and HOW you feel.  I can tell you that its a strong motivational force for cleaning up the hard rough feelings that you can sometimes feel that is part of the inner architecture of the self that you once thought was separate and alone in this world.

But this is not for everyone.  Its only for those people who want to grapple with the truth of things.  If you want to make deals with reality, its best not to even try waking up this awareness within you because all you will have will be struggles.  I know this because I myself have tried this route and its hard, difficult, and can make you feel like you are being crushed under some amazing weight of indifferent truth that simply cannot be swayed or changed.  Gone are the days of your own private counterfeiting of reality and here is the reality of what actually IS.  The advantage to living your life WITH the truth is that your life is guided by an intelligence that is far more advanced than your own.  This is what Jesus meant when he said “I am one with the father.”  In truth, the documents had him saying “I am one with the father and mother.”  The whole concept of this being an engine of energy generation within the self has been completely lost in Christianity.  Also lost is the truth of how consciousness and the energy of consciousness is arranged the same way that electrical fields are oriented, which is in the shape of a torus.  This torus has a positive and negative polarity, the same polarity that the ancients called the feminine and masculine traits of consciousness.  This is also the same as the father and mother that Jesus spoke of.  It is the Shakti and Shiva of the Hindus.  It is the Yin and Yang of the Chinese.  The Holy Ghost in Christianity is the lost potential, the hidden face of our very consciousness and universe.  This “she” is the receptive side of all energy.  This is what all of the ancients have been describing all along.  Once this energy begins to connect into itself after you have removed the very real barriers in your cognition, the energy begins to flow automatically.  Kundalini flows, the Kah and the prana flow through you like liquid light.  You become incandescent.  You instantly achieve a high level of gnosis. You inherit something that was talked about over and over by Jesus, but has been largely miscomprehended….which is my word for “misunderstood.”  There was simply not a language that Jesus could describe all of this within and have it be well understood.  Jesus used words like “adultery” to explain how the self separates itself from this experience of nonduality, which divides one from the experience of being one with the father and mother.  He explains this in the Gospel of Mary, but most people who read these passages don’t even catch on to what it is he is saying. This is not just a simple case of misinterpretation on my part, its a lack of being able to understand the level at which this guy operated at.  The untold story was that he and his followers often operated at an incredibly high level of comprehension and yet they had very clumsy tools to try to get his across to people.  Consider that Jesus tells his disciples that he tells the masses about these secrets, put them right out in front of them in the form of parables, and yet it is like showing a blind person something that they just cannot and will not see.  He then says to his disciples that he speaks plainly to them and even THEY have a hard time understanding what it is he is saying. He was largely misunderstood. We turned his parables into stories about right and wrong and we lost the incredible depth that was there.

I am bringing up Jesus because he is a good example for how we just totally miss the boat on these things.  This is not an intellectual apprehension that is taking place.  This is something far more fundamental that is beginning to flower in your awareness, which is far more complex that mere thought.  When you become nondual your whole body begins sending you messages about this experience that is undeniable. It is also very powerful. It can also be overwhelming.  It takes a lot of willingness to stick with it and…..grow up.  To become more responsible and engaged with reality as it is and as it will unfold if you let it, and to also let go of your own individual need to try to make sense of things while your own mind merges into what I can only describe is a “superluminal mind” that is outside of time and has no restrictions placed on it. If there is any singularity that need take place in our tech world, it is the singularity of non-duality and how it can have wonderfully earth-shattering implications for us as individuals, as a culture, as a world, and as a universe.

But you need to hurry; we need more like you so others can understand just what it is I have been saying these last 2400 words.  There is no cost of admission but you do need to be ready for it.  Your innermost self will tell you if you are because you wont be able to keep it out of your mind.  Then, if that is the case, ask yourself if you can handle a practice that becomes a daily process wherein you become by shedding what you thought was important in favor of what will wind up, perhaps a decade from now, perfect for the self you will become.  The change will be rapid, fast-paced and it might be hard to keep old relationships.  It might be hard to work sometimes.  You might want to set aside some funds so you can go camping or go on a retreat or to work part-time for a while as your self unwinds lifetimes of error and distortions.  You shed a skin, or many skins, to find what you have been searching for.

Recently while doing some release work I began to see etherically the lines of energy that are called meridians in the Chinese system and the naddis (pronounced “nardi”) in the Indian system. Before I knew what I “had” when I awoke, I became aware of these white lines in the body that I knew were energy and could be affected/healed from a distance.  It was only through some serendipity that I managed to catch on to what it was I was seeing and that it had a name. In the some twenty-five years of sensing energy fields in others, I never picked up on these lines of etheric force that carried prana or qi in the body.  I began seeing it in spades, now, with this thing fast upon me.  But through the release of a lot of blocked material, hundreds, if not thousands of them from big and small, I have come to a place where I am nearly cleared of most major blocks, save for the hardest ones, in the root and sacral. In the last few months, following some significant releases of root blocks, I have come to see things in my body using the third eye or etheric sensing, in a different way.

My inner sensing has become much more detailed.  Imagine a piece of cloth where instead of a thread being a typical small thread, each thread is as small as a fiber in a thread.  Now, imagine the energy body composed of a river of these threads, all contiguous, with color any number of things used to express the character of the energy within it.  In the Hindu system, we see each chakra as having a different color, making up a rainbow.  In my experience, though, there are no colors, only qualities in consciousness, and with that said, the use of images to explain or even perceive them is like a dream image that we can translate.  What was once a white nerve-like channel that had an almost rubber consistency early on has become something far more complex.  I would say that my inner vision has itself cleared a bit.  I think, for healers and body workers who deal with energy, this level of clarity can be incredibly useful.  It can be useful because I found that I was seeing something new that I have never heard described anywhere in any of the books.

I was able to focus my attention on an energy line running up my torso and look down “into” the line.  As I did, I saw something unusual.  At first, I didn’t know what it meant, but it allowed me to tell the practitioner where to focus pressure on an acupuncture point in my body.  This point was smaller than the tip of your finger, and while you can “hit the point”very well, the point was itself made up of a more detailed anatomy that if correct, reveals a kind of holographic characteristic of our energy body, chakras, and the naddis or meridians themselves.  Since this is so new, I am going to continue to observe to see if I can get enough observation to confirm what my gut instinct is telling me is so. If it is what I think it is, it means that blocks in one part of the body can be released through other parts of the body since the system is far more connected than we might even now realize.  It also creates a kind of….poetry of the body wherein how one part of the body that stores a block has a relationship with other seemingly unrelated parts that actually bear a relationship with the stored material that builds a story that flows out of the story of the yin and yang forces in prana and in our own private experience.   The stored part is drawn out by way of the more active portions of the body, flowing up and out of those meridians based on where the energy was stored not just in the chakra centers, but the naddis themselves.

The benefit to releasing stored material by way of the naddis is that you do not need to re-experience the stored emotional material again.  There is no doubt that strong emotions can help stir us, and I have known releases that were very emotional, and worked because they were emotional, but there is also a very direct way to simply release the block in the energy body and poof, gone.  The trap of feeling as though you have to “wrestle” with your emotions packed into various places in your body is that it can keep you caught in its thrall instead of simply letting it go. We have all in some way or another gotten addicted to how our mass of blocked material has made us feel.  It is the devil that we know and when it comes to letting it go, it can be hard.  it is also the way we come to know our authentic selves.  Like grain being threshed, the chaff gets blown away in the wind.  We then realize it wasn’t necessary after all, and may have been a big part of why we have had the problem we have had.  It is this chaff that often tells us who we need to be even if it does not fit us, and when it comes to relating to others, being able to be ourselves is pretty important. When other people focus on that chaff and fall in love with it, we wind up with some explaining to do. Right? Why not be true blue, or work to get that way.  So much happier.  Content.  Safe in the company of others who are like-minded.

So if you are going through awakening and go deep into meditation and are used to and comfortable with using your inner sight, the third eye to see your body, try looking down into the meridians and zooming in on them, especially when you are in a deep state of meditation and see what you see.

I’ll be taking a closer look and hopefully it will be something that will help our healers understand the energy body even more.

I have sensed energy and understood how energy works for years and knew that were I to want to, I could be a good energy healer.  I was untrained and did not read books about alternative medicine.  But I knew what I knew.  I knew that there was a side to healing that had to do with how we feel, how our consciousness is set up for “shaped” within our bodies that had everything to do with how healthy we are, how at peace we are, and a host of other things that western medicine has largely been either unwilling to approach or wont.  As I stood there one night, using my energy to make my cat roll over, I asked “What on earth is this?  What am I?”  the answer was that I was an “energy handler.”  I was so frustrated at that point, wanting ot figure this out. But it was not to be.  I had a deep impulse that until or unless I knew I was at complete peace, I would not do any kind of healing work.

I can remember telling a friend who was a gifted psychotherapist that I knew there was a way to heal people from a distance.  This was about five years before I found out about a healing modality caller Reiki, which served up distance healing.  Still, something in me told me that while I would be good, I knew that I had to be the most healed person in the room.

Amongst the Native Peoples of North America, the person who was the healer was the person who was him or herself the most healed.  This healed person was the most neutral.  A person who is not healed fully will not be able to see beyond his or her own lack of healing.  The block or issue in the energy body will create a certain level of blindness for the therapist  It is important to yourself be healed if you are to heal.

When a person is healed of an issue within, they are more able to change the issue in the person before them who is there for healing.  Whether you know this or not, there is an energetic component to all healing.  Sure, if you break an arm, you have to do things that will mechanically set and allow the arm to heal. But the speed of healing is greatly influenced by the flow of life force into the area.  This life force energy has a stimulating effect on a whole range of processes in the body and they go all the way down to the cellular level.  We know this because we have observed how it is that capillaries will dilate when someone comes into the vicinity of a healer’s hands.  We have charted that there are very real physical changes taking place in the wake of what we now know is a flux or flow of life force into the body of the person being healed.  There are many very beneficial things that happen when energy flow is allowed to move unhampered.  Sometimes the result is miraculous if the person who is doing the healing is him or herself a healed person.  Healed = clear.  the other side to this is that until you heal something in yourself, you will often tend to attract what you yourself are still working on in others.  So for example you might be dealing with something that is at its root about fear.  Until you are able to deal with it, though, you may not be as helpful to others as you would be if you yourself no longer had the issue to begin with.  Why?

Atunement.  This is the term I use and it may be what others use.  It is a principle I have observed since I was in my 20’s and it has to do with how one person can actually atune a person’s energy so that they literally vibrate out the knot or block or issue in their energy body so that the underlying issue in the energy and consciousness is gone so that at the cell level the body can begin to repair and work as it was intended to. It will almost always work the right way as intended even after years of dysfunction…..so long as permanent damage has not taken place in the body.  I used to observe how I was able to get people to see auras by using this atunement energy.  I could always feel it and as long as the person was receptive, it resulted in their being able to tune into the same thing I was tuning into energy-wise.  I knew that what was taking place was how a person was able to feel my own energy and by just feeling its vibration could then achieve that same vibration for themselves, which was what enabled them to then begin seeing auras.  For the people who had this happen to them, this was itself a dramatic, but what I knew deep down was that this was how all energy medicine worked.  I just wished that I could bring my gifts to the world.  But something kept me from doing so.  What kept me from doing so was the knowledge deep down that while I could do a great deal of healing, I wanted to do something that was quite rare here, which was to be a healed healer.  I didn’t want to heal while wounded still.  I will give you an example of what I mean.

Some months ago I decided to utilize Reiki as a healing modality for assisting me in releasing energy blocks which Kundalini has been actively engaged in helping me with since my awakening about seven years ago.  I was curious more than anything but I also felt like it could be a beneficial avenue.  After reading up on Reiki, I realized that this was a form of energy medicine that was similar to what I had always envisioned as something I tend to do with people when it comes to healing energy.

When I went, I explained that I had been actively clearing my energy field and had done so to a pretty deep level.  I explained that this had all taken place in each chakra over many of the “koshas.”  I wanted them to understand I was not just the regular Joe.  I needed them to go deeper then they may have been used to going.  I explained I was dealing now with root issues and that this was where I needed help.  We began and the healers were successful in helping to release some difficult material.  I went a second time and while there I had a healer who was the head of a local school of alternaitve medicine say that she could not feel anything left in my root, that it was clear. I explained that there was more there, I could feel it.  In fact, I knew very well what remained in my root because I could feel the blocks as sharp pain, dull pain, and a feeling of tension as well as pressure.  My awareness of where I am with my energy is so strong that it is translated by my brain into something that it can make sense of and it also helps me to keep track of where I am by this not-so-comfy feeling, but has been useful for monitoring my progress over these seven years or so.

After working on me for a while, the woman pronounced me cleared and stopped the work she was doing.  As I got up and thanked her for her work, she explained to me that sometimes we have to be careful about trying to turn nothing into something.  She assured me that I was clean as a whistle and to try not to make something out of nothing.  I smiled and thanked them all again before taking my jacket and heading out into the night air.

The takeaway from all of this is that for healers who are themselves not healed, they will be blind to what remains, just as this lady was blind to what remained in me.  Over the course of the next six months, I continued on my own to release more and more material, none of it imagined, none of it an inflation of something small or minor.  In truth, I may have dug deeper than this therapist had ever had the experience of going.  I don’t say this to boast, I say this because this is itself a very real issue with healers of all kinds.  You simply cannot help someone if you yourself do not know the route to the healing your patient needs.  This is so for western medicine as well as other forms of medicine such as Chinese Medicine, energy medicine, naturalpathy, etc.  The aspect of healing that is energetic is the part that most closely corresponds to the placebo effect.  We literally decide to feel differently and we do.  Our bodies register the change and off we go.  In the case of energy healing, though, it is possible to have healing above and beyond placebo.  We talk about placebo as if its unimportant, but it is huge.  Being able to let go and being willing to be ready to feel differently are important precursors to actual healing taking place.  So HOW you feel is important. You can actually learn how to feel differently by connecting in with the feelings of the healer.  This is what atunement is all about.  We literally vibrate at the same frequency as they do.  But if that healer does not have a cleared root in her vibration, will the patient be able to clear his or her root center completely?  If s/he does, it will not be because of the healer.

Speaking to a therapist about the work she did helping people in her practice, she expressed how she did not help people to heal.  She explained she helped them to cope. On the one hand, I thought that she was being honest and practical.  She did not try to reach for healing, she tried to make life better for the clients.  It probably  suited her well for where she was.  But no healing?  If you don’t think its possible, then its pretty much a lock that it wont be for your client.  When you expect the impossible, it tends to happen far more frequently than otherwise.  🙂

This same issue is at work when a teacher seeks to tell his or her students about something that he or she does not yet fully understand or has made a part of his or her practice.  Ram Das who wrote Be Here Now had a conversation with his teacher about why it was that he had not learned a certain principle from his previous teacher.  It was curious because other students had not learned it either, even though the teacher was able to teach about it many times.  Ram Das’s new teacher explained this perfectly:  his teacher could not expect anyone to learn the new perspective and embody it because he had not yet done so.  His teaching, then, was ineffectual as a result.  You can preach it all you want, but until you ARE it, there is little hope that your words will make any difference.  See, until the vibration is right, people wont get it because the other side of our being is that we are each energetic beings and we are highly sensitive to these energies in consciousness.  Our world is an unseen but entirely felt tapestry of energy that has a very real effect on people and as we have found in physics, on objects as well.

Does this mean that I think all people should hold off on doing energy work or healing until they themselves are clear?  Nope.  In fact, I think that a lot of good can be done even before you are completely clear or free from the wheel or karma.  I think for me, though, I am most interested in being able to come from a place where I am so clear that I can easily find every little hitch and glitch and gently and effortlessly give space and the vibration necessary to entrain and heal that person’s field of anything that is anything less than an aligned state of being. And does this mean that I wont be healing in this life?  Well, I can’t say for sure. At the pace I am going it wont be long before I have emptied the karmic dustbin out completely,  A few years ago I had someone say something to me that I thought was short sighted, which was that I was stuck in these karmic glitches and would probably remain so the rest of my life.  I thought “Wow, how incredibly limited!”  It was enough to get me shaking off the feeling behind those words, the sense of hopelessness that must have been in that person.  Well, I am here to say that life is nothing if not full of surprises and our conception one moment can be completely reformed the next.  Change can happen on a dime!  So I say: be ready for anything!  I am here to return to the garden.  Why are you here?

And that, dear reader, is a little perspective on the healing arts!

What am I?”  the answer was that I was an “energy handler.”  I was so frustrated at that point, wanting to figure this out.

And that, dear reader, is a little perspective on the healing arts!

brain

Modern materialistic science, which encompasses a sense that all things come about because of matter alone, holds the idea that consciousness is formed as a result of what the brain does in the dynamic system (meaning a give and take between body and brain) with the body.  This is so because so much has been studied about the brain as being a perceived organ where memory resides.  While this body of information is certainly correct, it also misses some important points which most materialists often turn a blind eye to.

One observation made in various healing modalities that involve eastern practices of movement and energy medicine (such as Qi Gung, Reiki, and acupuncture as well as deep tissue massage) is that the physical body is seen as a repository for memory.  To understand how this is so, we look to these methods of healing to observe their effects.  I have direct experience with these releases of stored material even as I did not understand or even believe at first that they could even happen, but they did.  It is explained in such disciplines as Qi Gung and acupuncture that through movement of the body in certain key ways (qi gong)  and using needles (acupuncture), the stored material in the body, not the brain, is released through a manipulation of the energy body itself, what the Chinese describe as the energy lines that go to make up the “map” of so-called subtle energy currents in the body.   As a needle is placed into the skin, it serves to conduct electrical and electromagnetic energy through the needle and helps the energy in that meridian or line of energy in the body to flow.  The suggestion here is that stored trauma or memory that serves to inhibit the flow of this energy in the body, is now released or at least bridged in order to allow the energy to flow.  All you have to do to know what this energy flow feels like is to have a good basic acupuncture session, or practice qi gung for a month or two.  Another method that also releases stored trauma and memory in the body is a more modern practice developed by Ida Rolf, known as rolfing, a system of intense body work where a massage therapist messages deeply into the body tissue.  The goal of this method is to release stored memory that corresponds with an awareness that the material is now gone.  It does not return for any of those who have experienced such releases.  It is akin to erasing some piece of magnetic material in the body that appears to have a corresponding feedback into our memory, except it is triggered and perhaps even stored in the body itself.  I have some examples that point to this as being the case, so before you poo-poo this as crazy, read on.  Sometimes life is stranger than fiction!

Not to muddy the water any, but hopefully to clarify it some, think of these issues as having an electromagnetic quality to them.  When something has a quality like this, it means that if you know how to erase that particular piece of data in the magnetic field, you can erase it forever and whatever limiting effects it has had on the flow of conscious energy is also freed up.  I say this because this is how I have observed it through my work resolving these blocks.  I have in the last seven years resolved literally hundred, perhaps thousands of them in my own field alone.  Yes, I was helped a great deal with the flow of greater energy in my body as a result of the stirring effect of kundalini, but kundalini is merely life force energy in abundance. We can all do this.  And doing it is not unlike erasing any sort of magnetic media like magnetic tape or a hard drive.  You essentially are, at an energetic level of your being, erasing something and leaving it open and neutral so energy may flow.  To get there, you have to change how you feel about something that is serving to block that energy in the energy field.  An idea, belief, or notion will itself have a very specific energetic signature and it will thus be recorded on your field where it will either help or hamper with the flow of energy.  I have said before that as a result, beliefs or feelings (and a feeling of frustration is at its core based on a belief about something that gives rise to a feeling) act as switches in your energy field.  They can control the flow of energy for good or ill, and when you can begin to deal with these, you can being to set up your field for a more harmonious flow of energy.  While it might seem entirely beyond your ability to know what the block/limiting belief is or where it exists, you in fact do have the means to feel into it and know, on an intuitive level, what it is, how it feels, or where it may have even come from.  Having said that, you don’t have to have this level of specificity or clarity, either, because you can simply feel the slight feeling of blocked energy or lack of ease and then ask yourself how to resolve it (and surprise surprise; it most often comes when given a little time).  In fact, you sometimes only need to feel the spot as an impediment and put your attention on the spot, which then most often has the effect of stirring and clearing that spot.  My purpose here is not to go into the mechanics of healing the energy field, but only to illustrate that it exists and to give you some examples of how it operates.  It is not some amorphous field like water.  it in fact has structure and constancy, and this is all defined by your thoughts and feelings.  I hope the examples I am about to provide you will help you to begin to relate to this field of energy.

I have described here how my own experience has shown me that my energy body consists of a series of switches, gateways, all corresponding to feeling and thought and that the universe is all essentially like this. It is a vast energetic system that those who awaken or reach peak states often describe as the pervading “Tao” or “Nirvana”, etc.  By allowing myself to feel differently or to think differently about a given kind of situation or event or person, I found that I could often clear the blocks of energy in my own field of energy.  It was this process of clearing that also resulted in clearing up memes that I was just a moment before vulnerable to (“I am not loved,” or “the world is out to get me” or other notions like this)  This can also be done through movement of the body through shaking as well as the Chinese discipline called Qi Gung. This, too, I have written about extensively here.   These have all served to release old stored blocks in the body. When they release, you can actually feel them.  Once the stored material is released, you feel different.  A difficult emotion is now no longer present.  One feels clearer, and freer.  It is very much like erasing an old magnetic tape and being empty, something else flows in that is not meme based but is experience based. Increasingly, I contend, you are more and more free to experience what this larger realm of energy is all about. The energy body beyond the energy body.

Now all of this flies in the face of modern medicine, which sees the body as a machine with the brain as being the main repository for memory.  If this is so, then why would someone like myself experience old memories when one of these energy blocks are released?  If the brain is involved as the chief storage unit for memory, why does deep tissue massage, acupuncture, Reiki and Qi Gung result in these effects?  The answer, I observe, is that all memory is itself both locally stored in the brain and body as well as in the energy field of a person.  We aren’t used to speaking about energy because we haven’t been able to measure it very well, but sensitives like myself have been seeing this energy for ages.  It is known as the human aura.  I know, and have known for years, that I can observe all levels of the human condition within the energy field of a person I am reading.  I can see what is happening to them physically, emotionally, and spiritually with just a glance.  This all sounds like woo-woo to a lot of people, but I have been able to use observation and data to help confirm for me that I am indeed seeing what I am picking up on.  For close to a year after I began seeing auras, I had a friend who also saw auras and I used my friend as a kind of control for what it was I was picking up on.  Anytime I observed an unusual aura, I would turn to her and say “what about that guy over there in the hat” as I motioned up ahead of us.  She would then go on to describe the rather unusual aura in the same terms as I had experienced it myself.  Now bear in mind, at no point did I ever lead her or tell her what it was I was seeing.  This same action was repeated many times through the first year of my new perceptual ability.  For myself, I was able to obtain important third-party confirmation of my own perceptions.  Since that time, I do not shrink from verifying my senses along these lines because I know that what I am picking up on is accurate.  What I experience in seeing auras is the sense that our thoughts do express themselves all through the body of the aura, through the energy that is being put out and is expressed as a matrix of mind, emotion and physical energy within the structure of the aura.  While I had observed this phenomenon for years, I never fully appreciated how a feeling might well be stored or moved through all parts of the body.  I didn’t appreciate this because I myself had not experienced it.  It really is just that simple.  As humans, we tend to dismiss or even ridicule what has not been a part of our own direct experience.  the greatest innoculation against this type of ignorance is to simply learn how to develop these senses yourself and then decide on your own what it is that you think this might be all about.

More recently the Biologist Rupert Sheldrake has developed a theory about the nature of matter that is called his “resonance’ theory, which posits that all things, both sentient and nonsentient, exhibit nonlocal effects as it relates to their composition and behavior.  In the case of nonsentient matter, there are observed phenomenon that suggests that there is a kind of non-local “repository” of information that helps to govern the behavior and composition of a given compound or element.  Sheldrake uses the explanation for how it has been observed that when scientists discover a new element, they like to do all sorts of tests on it to understand how it behaves.  One very curious effect is that when scientists seek to get an element to take on its crystalline form, they have to repeat the conditions for doing so a large number of times.  With all of the conditions just right for crystal formation, the new material seems to “refuse” to do so!  Then, after a given number of tries, the substance suddenly begins to crystallize and will do so, dependably, from there on out.  The tendency for many is to assume that the conditions were not right, that the lab technicians were simply off their mark in some way.  But add to this a second wrinkle and you can begin to appreciate what Sheldrake is pointing to in all of this as it relates to nonlocality, which is that labs all over the world can perform the same crystal-inducing methods, all without any luck….at first.  But once, say, the hundredth attempt is achieved, suddenly the crystal form emerges.  It also emerges without any problem at ALL of the other locations.  Next, a lab that has done this experiment in New York City, for example, and has finally gotten the compound to move into its crystalline form, can then expect a lab with no connection to the New York City lab, in say, Switzerland, to perform the technique without having to make the, say, hundred tries to get it to form.

This theory is something that applies to living forms as well, and Sheldrake has begun to observe that consciousness appears to be more a field phenomenon than merely something located in the brain.  he shows examples of this type of behavior as seen in flocks of birds and fish, for example.  Some researchers want to say that this is merely fast signal processing in the brains of each bird, which results in its observing the slight changes in its neighbor resulting in a flock that flies in a carefully choreographed sense of movement.  The problem with this, Sheldrake explains, is that most of the movements that are observed are simply too fast for the known response times for the given species of fish or bird.  There has to be a different explanation for this phenomenon, he explains.  What is so interesting is that what Sheldrake is suggesting is what anyone who has awakened often observes, which is that the energy in ones own body is awake and alive and aware.  It is not merely in the brain.  If this is just a seeming, however, a kind of trick that the brain plays in perception, then why is it that memory is experienced when a spot in the body, not the brain, is massaged or needled, or moved in some way as described earlier with Qi Gung or acupuncture, for example?

By now people are aware of the rather curious effect that organ donors have often reported having as it relates to the changes that take place after having received an organ donation.   After reading up on this topic I found that this is not an entirely universal phenomenon and that this most often is experienced by people who receive heart transplants as opposed to liver or kidneys (although some effects from those organs have been noted).  Some of the experiences that the donors have experienced go well beyond mere chance and enter into what materialists would want to call supernormal.  I suggest to you that there is nothing paranormal about it, but that it is instead an understandable phenomenon if you view it through the lens of the body containing memory and feeling.  It is important to know that in the case of organ donations, the identity of the donor is kept from the recipient.  Certain protocols are followed which serve to protect the families and to keep the donation system anonymous and free from entangling issues.  Studying over 70 heart transplants, Dr. Paul Pearsall, a researcher and physician, has published his findings, and I am including some of them below.  These cases are  emblematic of the stories that he uncovered as it relates to organ donation

Case 1: Claire Sylvia develops desire for chicken nuggets and green peppers

On May 29, 1988, an American woman named Claire Sylvia received a heart transplant at a hospital in Yale, Connecticut. She was told that her donor was an eighteen year-old male from Maine, USA who had just died in a motorcycle accident. Soon after the operation, Sylvia declared that she felt like drinking beer, something she hadn’t particularly been fond of. Later, she observed an uncontrollable urge to eat chicken nuggets and found herself drawn to visiting the popular chicken restaurant chain, KFC. She also began craving green peppers which she hadn’t particularly liked before. Sylvia also began having recurring dreams about a mystery man named Tim L., whom she felt was the organ donor. On a cue from someone, she searched for obituaries in newspapers published from Maine and was able to identify the young man whose heart she had received. His name had indeed been Tim. After visiting Tim’s family, she discovered that he used to love chicken nuggets, green peppers and beer. These experiences are documented in the book, A Change of Heart.

Case 2: a foundry worker develops a taste for classical music

A 47 year-old white male foundry worker, who received the heart of a 17 year-old black male student, discovered after the operation that he had developed a fascination for classical music. He reasoned that since his donor would have preferred ‘rap’ music, his newfound love for classical music could not possibly have anything to do with his new heart. As it turned out, the donor actually loved classical music, and died “hugging his violin case” on the way to his violin class.

Case 3: murder mystery involving donor is solved by an organ recipient

An eight year-old girl, who received the heart of a murdered ten year-old girl, began having recurring vivid nightmares about the murder. Her mother arranged a consultation with a psychiatrist who after several sessions concluded that she was witnessing actual physical incidents. They decided to call the police who used the detailed descriptions of the murder (the time, the weapon, the place, the clothes he wore, what the little girl he killed had said to him) given by the little girl to find and convict the man in question.

Case 4: the gender transplant

The donor was a 19 year-old woman killed in an automobile accident. The recipient was a 29 year-old woman diagnosed with cardiomyopathy secondary to endocarditis.

The donor’s mother reported:

“My Sara was the most loving girl. She owned and operated her own health food restaurant and scolded me constantly about not being a vegetarian. She was a great kid — wild, but great. She was into the free-love thing and had a different man in her life every few months. She was man-crazy when she was a little girl and it never stopped. She was able to write some notes to me when she was dying. She was so out of it, but she kept saying how she could feel the impact of the car hitting them. She said she could feel it going through her body.”

The recipient reported:

“You can tell people about this if you want to, but it will make you sound crazy. When I got my new heart, two things happened to me. First, almost every night, and still sometimes now, I actually feel the accident my donor had. I can feel the impact in my chest. It slams into me, but my doctor said everything looks fine. Also, I hate meat now. I can’t stand it. I was McDonald’s biggest money-maker, and now meat makes me throw up. Actually, whenever I smell it, my heart starts to race. But that’s not the big deal. My doctor said that’s just due to my medicines. I couldn’t tell him, but what really bothers me is that I’m engaged to be married now. He’s a great guy and we love each other. The sex is terrific. The problem is, I’m gay. At least, I thought I was. After my transplant, I’m not… I don’t think, anyway…I’m sort of semi- or confused gay. Women still seem attractive to me, but my boyfriend turns me on; women don’t. I have absolutely no desire to be with a woman. I think I got a gender transplant.”

The recipient’s brother reported:

“Susie’s straight now. I mean it seriously. She was gay and now her new heart made her straight. She threw out all her books and stuff about gay politics and never talks about it anymore. She was really militant about it before. She holds hands and cuddles with Steven just like my girlfriend does with me. She talks girl-talk with my girlfriend, where before she would be lecturing about the evils of sexist men. And my sister, the queen of the ‘Big Mac‘, hates meat. She won’t even have it in the house.

Case 5: a catering manager develops artistic talent.

This story comes from the British tabloid, The Daily Mail. William Sheridan, a retired catering manager with poor drawing skills, suddenly developed artistic talents after a heart transplant operation. He was amazed to discover that the man who donated his new heart had been a keen artist.

Case 6: the living heart transplant

Among the strangest case Paul Pearsall encountered was that of two men who shared the same heart.

Jim (original names withheld), who was dying of bad lungs, received a heart and lung transplant from a young woman who had just died. Since Jim’s old heart was still robust, it was transplanted into another man named Fred. After this domino transplant, Fred who was formerly laid-back began exhibiting the Type A aggressive behavior of Jim. During intimate moments, Fred would call his wife “Sandy”, much to the consternation of his wife Karen. Jim’s wife’s name was Sandra. On the other hand, Jim became morose and sullen after the transplant and died a few years later. It was discovered that Jim’s donor had been a shy, soft-spoken young woman who had worked part-time in a flower shop, and had committed suicide in despair over a lost love.

There are a number of different theories that have emerged that seek to explain this phenomenon.  One of them is the “little heart brain” theory that comes from  Dr Armour who, in 1994, observed that the heart had its own kind of nervous system made up of 40,000 neurons called sensory neurites. Further, what was discovered was that The heart acts independently of the brain, sending and receiving meaningful messages of its own through the autonomic nervous system. In fact, it has been recently discovered that more information flows FROM the heart muscle and to the brain than comes from the brain itself.  Is the heart acting as a center of information transfer from the body to the brain?  Is the heart telling the brain how we feel? I think that on a biological level, it is indeed possible.

In NAMAH, the journal of alternative medicine, the theory that links neuropeptides (which was recently discussed in the last post) to memory.

Pharmacologist Candace Pert proposed that neuropeptides which are stored in every cell act as a sort of biochemical correlate of emotion. It was previously thought that emotions resided in the limbic system in the brain. According to Pert, neuropeptides are protein-like messenger molecules released by the brain neurons which flow through the body communicating among the nervous, immune, endocrine, muscle, and skeletal systems via blood, interstitial fluids and the central nervous system, which are all body fluids. At present, about 100 different peptides are known to be released by various populations of neurons in the mammalian brain. Neuropeptides have also been found in the heart, which could explain some forms of cellular memories reported by heart transplant recipients

Another theory is that there is an electromagnetic field that surrounds all organs and has the capacity to maintain memory and feeling within it.   To be honest with you, My sense has been that all of these theories are expressing an aspect of the larger experience in some way.  While I have observed that there is indeed an electromagnetic field that surround the body that is the result of iron rich blood being circulated in the body and creating low currents and a low electromagnetic field (think of how the earth does this with iron rich magma circulating in its core to create the magnetosphere), the body needs more than merely the carrier of the information via energy, but will rely on the tissues to conduct this energy and thus the information (which I experience as nonlocal and beyond the body while being within it all at once) as well as the other forms of information transfer, which are seen in the utilization of neuropeptides in the body and brain to express feeling and thoughts.

I think that our understanding of how the body works, and how consciousness is one agent within it, is changing.  The old ways of explaining all of this has served to ignore a whole range of experience and phenomenon.  All that I have shared with you supports what I also experienced early on in awakening, and I hope that this view into the world of ourselves gives you food for thought.

During the course of looking into this issue I found discovered a theory about transfer of information on not only the cellular level but the atomic, which suggests the same thing I experienced the first year of my awakening when I went down into the “atomic level” of the universe and was shown how all matter has consciousness and has information locked up within it.  This experience has been described on this blog recently.  In his own words, he states, “Moreover, the recent integration of systems theory with the concept of energy (termed dynamical energy systems theory) provides compelling logic that leads to the prediction that all dynamical systems store information and energy to various degrees.5,6,7 The systemic memory mechanism provides a plausible explanation for the evolution of emergent (novel) systemic properties through recurrent feedback interactions (i.e., the nonlinear circulation of information and energy that reflects the ongoing interactions of the components in a complex, dynamic network).

Recurrent feedback loops exist in all atomic, molecular and cellular systems. Hence, evidence for atomic systemic memory, molecular systemic memory and cellular systemic memory should be found in these systems.”

My sense has been that the energy field that surrounds the body itself is capable of coupling to a larger body of energy which is experienced as cosmic consciousness and which the ancients described as being the Tao, which is in all things.  It is a supportive “grid” of energy that we ourselves have access to on a moment by moment basis and is how all things both living and sentient are ordered.  To be aware of its presence in consciousness is like being aware of being a cell in a larger body.  It is a real and ever=present sensation or experience.  It does not go away.  It is persistent.  Far from being merely a world of random effects that have given rise to life on our planet, I suggest, that it is rather that there is an intelligent energy which pervades all things and supports all things because it is part of those things, from rock, flower, to human.  We are as much a part of the universe as the universe is in us from physical matter all the way to the energy that binds and supports all matter and hence also all life.  Some of the examples I have noted in this entry I think help to support that notion.  It is my hope that we can as a result of findings like this, begin to gain a non-dogmatic understanding of how the universe works, not strictly through a materialistic view of science, but with minds willing and capable of exploring new ideas, new possibilities and not simply cleaving to old notions that merely feel comfortable to us.  What I do feel lies ahead of us in such an attitude is a much more interesting and amazing view of our world and of our place within it.

For my money, though, is how this all can make us feel and experience.  A lot of this kind of research quite frankly bores me to tears, but I also understand that if we are ever to change or shift perception and awareness in the western world, it will be by presenting information that appeals to our western mindset and helps to move us beyond it.  What is beyond it is a great sea or ocean of wonderment. It is what we are.  Touching this great mystery has been one of the single most rewarding experiences of my time here in this life.  It is also what inspires me to realize that at any moment I can find myself in a new place within myself and that healing these old wounds, these old old traumas from the past (that sounds severe, doesn’t it?  And yet, if you look at our history through time perhaps you can get an appreciation for how hard of a slog it has been for all of us from lifetime to lifetime).  And what lies beyond that?

This was what I wanted to drive home in my last post….which was that now as I get down to the root chakra and heal it more intensively, something has emerged for me about it and how important the root is.  It’s a foundation….I was not able to really see how much of a rock it is in our lives.  I have realized how important it is to build a good foundation with it. Now what that foundation looks like for you I can’t say. What fulfills you and bring you wonder and a good life perhaps. It is different for all of us because we are all different.  For me, I know that very recently with the healing and movement of old blocks from my root and sacral that it has allowed me to have a clearer view into that part of my energy body.  Knots tend to obscure some. I knew but did not know.

At a certain point all energy flows into a vast current of energy.  All energy from the planet, from each organism, from all life both physical and non flows into a vast surging and churning sea.  It goes from small to big to gigantic.  You can’t believe how huge it gets.  You realize that all of this is this hum of energy….we want to divide things out and say this is sexual energy and this is not and this is third eye chakra energy and….and really, it’s so much like clay.  You can knead it into any form you want and we fool ourselves with thinking that any part of it is any different from any other part or vibration.  It is all clay.  Some make teapots out of it, others make white rabbits.  It’s all CLAY.  You see?  I focused on my root being so powerfully sexually that I lost sight of its many other facets.  I had shoved down so much hurt into my lower regions that it lodged there like most people do and was turned into energetic fossils, forming stony motes in my soft energy body that hurt once kundalini turned on.  Ouch!

I think that I thought I would somehow lose something if I lost the sexual energy, so I kept it in a place where it was less than healed.  It was the last thing I was able to let go of.  It was perhaps the one thing that gave me joy and bliss but that also was forbidden and was turned raw by the built up or latent pain from the past, the shame and hurt.  What is so interesting, though, is just how much more dimensional the root has begun to appear to me.  It is so much more than just sexual or survival.  It is a certain earthy charisma, it is a vibrance that feels really good to be around. It is also the essence of abundance.  It is magnetic and if you just let it flow, this force can be felt in your body in amazing ways.  Breaking free from the old strictures is wonderful.  For me, for some reason, this step was not a sudden dropping away of the veils as has happened in the other releases of old karmic material or energy knots in my light body.  This one seems to need to be forged anew.  It seems to need or something in me knows this basic part of me had gotten misshapen over time.  But it is alright; it is all clay, right?  So day by day I keep working at it, trying to not repeat the mistakes of the past and learn from all of this that has come before me.  The idea that in changing we will lose something is itself incorrect.  It happened to me with this misnomer called “ego death” which wasn’t a death at all, and it has happened with releasing old blocks.  Something in me thought I would no longer be me even though it also knew that no, that is not what is happening in letting go….I am revealing a deeper self, my authentic self perhaps for the first time and THAT self absolutely shimmers with all sorts of energy.  It just gushes with energy all the time.

(Its wonderful)

Spiritual broad life force….sensuality, sexuality, mental energy, and more all bend out of, split from and move back into this giant current.  It can be pitched to become sensual, pitched to be sexual.  It is we who do this.  It is itself the entirety of all things…..somehow I know this is so.

I don’t expect it to be perfect, but I do expect to feel perfectly about it.

There was a time when I lived for others and told myself I was selfless. Then I realized I was living for their approval and realized that I did not love myself half as much as I needed and they did not love me half as much as they could have.  I let that go and have been reorienting myself ever since. This need to be a victim has got to go!  Being around this energy breeds more of it and its a terribly disempowering attitude. Where did I go wrong, I wonder?  I had some splinter of a thing left in me that had to be worked through I guess.  I should be thankful for those who have helped to point out the problems that remained in me as a result of what I have attracted.

I think that unless you are able to take responsibility for what you have created in your life, you wont ever really get to a place where you are a conscious co-creator.  As long as you shirk your responsibility for your own experience means you can’t touch fully how the energy drives through you from an atomic to cosmic level. For those who cannot, they are too busy handing their power over to someone else for one reason or another.  Then it becomes everyone elses fault for just about everything.

Pound pound pound, I forge the dross from this iron will.  What shall I create?  Something marvelous!

I was told that I might experience a kind of “healing crisis” after releasing such deep stuff as I did in my Reiki session this past Wednesday (and which I wrote about last post).

The material that I moved was some pretty old stuff that went back to my first year of life.  My father was diagnosed as having cancer soon after I was conceived.  I grew up not knowing my Father because he was gone when I was 16 months old.  I always felt like I was a giant sponge energetically and emotionally. I had no way to deal with all of these very hard emotions.  I grew up angry and distant from my mother who I felt had abandoned me emotionally.  In a sense she did, yes, but it was because she herself was suffering knowing my father was dying.  And he did die.  And she was worried what she would do with four children.  It was 1967 and a woman, unless she was independently wealthy or owned her own business, was most often dependent on a man to provide.  That was the soup I grew up in in the womb and that I came into on the day of my birth.  My mother tells of how she and my father shared smiles and tears on the day of my birth.  My great grandmother upon seeing me said “I wonder if the poor fellow knows what he is in for…..”

Now I am not pulling out the violins.  In fact, we all have our own past hurts that grab hold of us.  We all do.  By telling you this, though, I am actually saying that if I can move such stubborn dug in material, so can you.  I have been through an awakening of kundalini, life force which is so abundant that its very force helps to remove these blocks.  But even kundalini has not move this one big bundle of blocks from those early years and which have settled into my root, sacral and partly in my solar plexus region.  Here are the more emotionaly guided centers of energy. This is where our sense of survival spring, our sexuality, our inner beauty and our will. All of this is important for healthy self image and for attracting all the right things into ones own life. When life force increases in your life and you remove blocks, what you put into this strong life force comes out as a very fast turn-around cycle for manifestation.  What poeple are talking about as the 11:11 signs and “syncs” are actually a poorly understood phenomenon that will show you, when you understand it, how you and the universe are linked in a co-creative relationship!  This is part of what my new book Waking The Infinite is about.  I am looking forward to getting this book finished and on the market!

The reiki session resulted in my being able to realize what it was I had shoved down so long ago.  It put me into direct contact with those old feelings and it helped me to understand a little better the mystery of that time which has been shrouded in a fog behind memory.  One thing I can tell you is that reiki has had similar effects as acupuncture and some body work.  I have also experienced the same effects with Qi Gung (also spelled Gong).  All of this is part of a continuum of energy work with slightly different means to the same end.  Whatever works, I say. Cranial-Sacral therapy is also another very profound method for reaching deep states of release and surrender and thus healing.  By letting go of a lot of material you can come away feeling a little unsteady.  I felt as though something had been stirred up that was kind of hard.  For me I realized that since I had never grieved the loss of my father, this feeling was shoved down and was reexperienced in a kind of distorted fashion in the way we might walk around an angry bull. Be know the bull is angry but we don’t do anything to help the bull release its anger.  We just keep walking around it and that bull just stays mad as hell.  For years.  Maybe he dies angry.  So letting this stuff goes is like walking right up to that bull and not being afraid of it only to find that the bull suddenly changes.  He melts.  Then, instead of a big bad creature we all stay away from, he became a gentle giant who lounges in the shade of trees and snorts from time to time, but only because he pulled in too much pollen from the flowers he was smelling.  Yes, this healing process is much like this. It is a revelation.

In the wake of this partial clearing my thoughts have cleared much more.  A whole slew of things I am seeing in a much clearer light than I had before.  Issues related to how the pain in my root had served to set up a vibration that attracted other people with similar problems. I have been able to see more clearly with compassion how people have sought to hurt me in the past.  I just see it differently.  the universal field energy is moving through me without the same lenses that I had in place.  People I was once attracted to I see as they are…..as people who are themselves not complete in their process, quite gnarly, and thus given to biting and other chaotic behavior. I know that as I dissolve this last big block remaining, it should have a corresponding effect on how I see and feel about a range of things that have caused me suffering.

It makes healing job one.

Being able to bring love and compassion into the moment is so important.  Learning the balance between selfless love and sound boundaries with people who are themselves not yet there is so important.  I remember toddling on my feet after getting up from the table from Reiki and someone behind me asked if I was interested in learning to do reiki and I explained that I always felt like I would be really good at it but I wanted to be as clear as I could be.  I smiled and looked over at the lady on my left and I said, “And that is why I am here.”

I hope to return next week and every week thereafter until this block is completely clear.  And then?  Its curious because a voice inside of me said “You will soon be clear…..what awaits you then I wonder???”  And I realized, whoah, I am nearing this point…..releasing all this stuff which is karmic….maybe its time I begin to shift gears into healing work.  Well who knows, right?  Life is a mystery.

It has been a whirlwind of activity lately, so no posting.  I don’t know how I am even going to bring all of this new material to the fore, if I do at all.  With all of it seeming to muscle its way to the forefront of my awareness as I try to sift and observe all of it and what the ramifications of this new material  could be, A simpler little element comes forward as a result of a quick read on some experiences with awakening in others.

I have been dealing with reading energy for a long time.  It came when I was 18 and I am now 48.  I have tested and parsed and studied it through my own perspective and experience and one thing I can tell you about the light body is that in my last leg prior to awakening, I became aware that my life became a study in how to build a greater capacity for energy in my body.  My light body.  This light body, which is composed of a vast network of “lines” carrying energy comprise the chakra system, the highway of life force and feeling and thought energy (even though I know you were taught the brain is in charge of all of this—there is more to it….much much more….)

I see abilities as any skill or ability.  There is talk that developing psi abilities is a trap for ego.  I can see how this could be, yes, but I also know that by understanding the feel of ego and its presence as it moves into awareness, you can become vigilant and at least help to keep it in check by being aware of how it sneaks up on you.  It requires a near-constant focus that keeps you out of the tendency ego has of identifying with the past and worrying about the future.  By allowing the junk just be the junk, you can see the steaming heap of your life and really not worry about it.  It was what it was.  The present give new opportunity as long as you do not get tricked into thinking you need to actually drag that heap into the present.  In so doing, you train yourself to keep ego at a safer distance.  By doing this, you also keep yourself more open to the broader flow of your being.  Ego is a gatekeeper, and is useful for very specific things, but in other areas, it fails miserably.  It makes you miserable. By not allowing the emergence of abilities to make you feel somehow important or good or bad, you can stay neutral.

This isn’t so hard to do.  And really, ego is always there.  You can’t kill it off.  You really can’t.  You can focus in different areas of your own consciousness.  Without ego you simply would not be able to identify between me and yourself.  While that could lead to an expansion of consciousness, it would also lose you in a way when dealing in THIS reality.  Being able to develop your capacities as a human being is important.  Being able to develop abilities that rest within the light body is also just as potentially important as learning to play the guitar, or to cook, or to parent, or teach, or sing, or to do math.  Psi abilities are just like this.  It requires, I have found, a capacity for being able to let go and allow the light body to build energy.  As you build your capacity for energy in that body through a simple flowing method, you can find that this energy brings with it abilities.  Intuition, sight, clairvoyance, claireaudience, reading auras, sensing energy, the capacity to move energy for healing purposes, to name a few.

As you build energy in the light body, the inner sensing of that body (think of it like a subtle version of your physical body that has senses for dealing with energy instead of physical matter), the chakras become sensitized and this leads to the opening of these centers in a rich and powerful way for you.  The more energy flowing, the more possible it is that you trip a threshold within that causes abilities to rise to the surface of awareness.  These can wax and wane, but all tend to come and go based on how you move energy in your light body.  The more charged you are, the more present these abilities can be.  This process can clear out blocks in the sensing centers which makes it more possible to utilize the sensing end of those centers for touching on the world of the energetic.  You enter an inspired state and stay there.  You do not come back down to earth, which you THINK you MUST do or is INEVITABLE.  None of this could be further from the truth, though. You just have to let go.  You do not GENERATE this energy, you tap it from the universal flow.  You allow yourself to feel joyous and alive.  You let go of dark moods, and you also let go of a sense that somehow you are limited.  You aren’t. I will tell you that for as much as some have said that one ought not be curious about abilities of this type, it has been my childlike curiosity and wonder, a very innocent sense of being, has been the very thing that has led me to places within myself that I don’t think I could have gotten to any other way.  I allowed it without realizing I was doing that.

Later on, I am going to address the second leg of the quantum universe and its effects.  At its core is a thesis of mine that I have not yet read about in the same way that I think is the core of understanding the universe and how it really does work but that has been hidden and obfuscated by our various viewpoints…from religious dogma to scientific dogma….to day to day dogma and belief….be they biases or incomplete perspective due to lack of experience in the area.  I will write more when I have the chance.  The result of years of experience has begun to coalesce into a vision that I suppose I had in my head for years but which is now beginning to live in my body and move me into new places of understanding based less on abstractions as they are in the moment by moment experience of an ever-expanding awareness and “understanding.” I use quotes simply because this understanding is not knowledge-based.  I have more to say, but for now….

Building these capacities is like placing or finding the rungs on a ladder within you.  By keeping ego in check, you can keep from being overdone with ego and enter more innocently into this world that will itself, if you focus, bring you to a new world of understanding.  It is a wild world, one which I think you will find that you knew existed all along but were perhaps too shy to cry it out to the world.  The realm of magic, or what we have come to call magic, is a touchstone to this “world” of experience.

Until that time, I bid you goodnight and best dreams…..
